Six Republican senators have jointly introduced a bill to allow Americans to sue China over the COVID-19 pandemic in U.S. federal courts.
The legislation was jointly introduced by McSally, Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), and Mike Rounds (R-S.D.).

Beijing initially went to great lengths to conceal the spread of the CCP virus, commonly known as novel coronavirus, which causes the COVID-19 disease. It silenced eight doctors, among them Li Wenliang and Ai Fen, respectively an ophthalmologist and head of the emergency department at Wuhan Central Hospital.

After witnessing its first confirmed case of the virus in Washington state in mid-January, the United States now has over 3.8 million infection cases and over 140,950 deaths due to the virus.

According to the bill, the amendment would strip any foreign state, in particular China, of its sovereign immunity for “any reckless actions or omissions,” including “conscious disregard of the need to report information promptly or deliberately hiding relevant information” causing the pandemic.

Meanwhile, any citizens or residents of the United States who have been hurt by such “actions or omissions” may sue the foreign state “in any appropriate U.S. district court.”

State attorney generals could also bring a civil lawsuit before U.S. district courts on behalf of their state residents.
If signed into law, the amendment could apply to the Chinese regime’s actions, or lack thereof, before or after the bill’s enactment.

The U.S. government intends to ban all Chinese Communist Party members and their family members from entering its country. More than 270 million may be affected by the ban. Hong Kong entrepreneur Elmer Yuen urged the Chinese people to withdraw from the CCP as soon as possible.

He also emphasized the fact that the U.S. government approves the certificates of resignation issued by The Epoch Times website.

The Trump administration is contemplating a complete ban of CCP members and their families from entering the country. The government may also authorize certain government agencies to revoke and cancel U.S. visas obtained by CCP members and their relatives. Elmer Yuen, who went to the U.S. to propose the “Destroy CCP, Save Hong Kong Act”, urged the CCP members to withdraw from the Party.

The host of Hong Kong Precious Dialogues, Liang Zhen, said, “The Tuidang (Withdrawal of the Party) is on the website of The Epoch Times. It is actually very easy, you can use either a nickname or your real name to do it. And it will give you a Tuidang series number that you can use to apply for a certificate of resignation. This certificate is recognized by the U.S. and proves that you have already withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party.”

After the information was revealed, “Tuidang” (Withdrawal of the Party) surged in Google-trending China, causing a huge shock within the Chinese Communist Party and possibly triggering a wave of withdrawals.

On July 18, the Chinese minister of water resources instructed local authorities to arrange for dikes to be broken and the rural areas of Hubei, Hunan, Jiangsu, and Jiangxi provinces to be submerged. They are prepared to sacrifice the countryside in order to protect the big cities.

The Yangtze River basin is home to roughly 459 million, with 51 percent (234 million) of them living in rural areas.

On July 18, state-run media Xinhua reported that the Three Gorges Dam had received the largest amount of floodwater to date, and that the dam had “displacement, seepage, and deformation.”

On July 20, authorities warned northeastern Liaoning, as well as Anhui, Hubei, Hunan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Yunnan, and Tibet in the south may experience mudslides due to the heavy rain. According to the meteorological center, other areas of northeastern China, Heilongjiang and Jilin provinces, may also have torrential rainfall.

Residents also told The Epoch Times that embankment breaches have caused floodwaters to submerge their hometown villages.

Former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon, said it was Attorney General William Barr, who put corporate America on notice about Beijing. He also called on the United States to “stop playing games” with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Bannon said Barr specifically used the words “collaborator” and “appeasement,” to call out corporate America, including Hollywood and big tech, for “kowtowing” to the regime in Beijing for the sake of profits. Bannon said Hollywood and U.S. technology companies have allowed themselves “to become pawns of Chinese influence … at the expense of freedom and openness in the United States.”

He further said America’s tech giants have also aided the regime in building surveillance technology and censored their products in exchange for access to the Chinese market.

For instance, U.S. tech firm Cisco Systems helped Beijing build its vast internet censorship and surveillance apparatus known as the Great Firewall. Barr added: “Others, such as Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, and Apple have shown themselves all too willing to collaborate with the CCP.”

Bannon in his remarks echoed Barr’s condemnation of the Chinese regime, as he praised the attorney general for his “magnificent speech.” He urged the United States to stop being a “supplicant” on the CCP virus, which has caused the deaths of over 140,000 people nationwide.
Bannon and Barr’s remarks come as the Trump administration sharply escalates its rhetoric and actions against the Chinese regime on a wide range of issues, including human rights, espionage, Hong Kong, and its coverup of the CCP virus outbreak.

In the past week alone, Washington has sanctioned CCP officials responsible for rights abuses against ethnic minorities in the region of Xinjiang, formally opposed Beijing’s territorial claims and aggressive actions in the South China Sea, ended Hong Kong’s special privileges with the United States following Beijing’s imposition of a draconian national security law, and signed into law a bill that sanctions officials involved in suppressing freedoms in Hong Kong and the banks that do business with them.

Bannon added: “It’s time to stop playing games with this murderous dictatorship. They lied. The American people have died.”

More than 40 days of nonstop heavy rainfall in China has broken the record. Although high ranking CCP officials have yet to visit those affected areas, the state-run media are already trying to paint a different picture—a picture where the flooded cities are described as tourists attractions and beautiful scenery.

On July 14, in a video posted by a netizen, many houses can be seen submerged in the flood in Poyang County. The massive flood contains a great amount of mud, making rivers and roads indistinguishable. Chinese citizens are saying that the government is preparing to give up on Poyang County.

According to the statistics, the Yangtze River Basin has been experiencing heavy rainfall since June, with seven incidents of heavy rainfall, and 64% of the counties and municipalities in the region have experienced disaster warnings.

The Three Gorges Dam, which has long been promoted by the Chinese Communist Party as powerful and strong, has recently begun to go against the propaganda. They used to say the Three Gorges Dam could last for 10,000 years, then for 1,000 years, then for 100 years, and then lastly it has done its best… Netizens asked: “Is it supposed to be able to withstand a once-in-a-lifetime flood?”

Huang Wanli (1911-2001), a renowned Chinese hydraulic engineer known for his strong opposition of the Three Gorges Dam project, pointed out that the biggest design flaw of the dam is its inability in flood control.

In a recent interview with NTD TV, Huang’s son Huang Guanhong said if both the upstream Chongqing City and the downstream Wuhan face the risk of flooding in summer, the authorities will have to choose between sacrificing Chongqing or Wuhan. In other words, there is no way both cities can be saved.

Chongqing issued a red flood alert on June 22, and Wuhan issued a red alert on July 15. China will likely face the worst scenario this year—both cities are badly inundated.

According to a source familiar with the matter, TikTok has been in discussions with the UK government over the past few months to locate its headquarters in London as part of a strategy to distance itself from its Chinese ownership.

A source told Reuters that London is among one of several locations the company is considering, but no decisions have been made. It was not immediately clear what other locations are under consideration. But it has hired aggressively in California this year, including poaching Kevin Mayer to be TikTok’s chief executive. Kevin Mayer is a former Walt Disney Co. executive and is based in the United States.

TikTok is facing heavy scrutiny in Washington over suspicions that China could force the company to turn over user data. TikTok is owned by China-based ByteDance.

A former Chinese internet censor recently told The Epoch Times he was interviewed for the role of monitoring and policing videos posted by TikTok users.

He described TikTok’s parent company ByteDance as “the largest and most terrifying censorship machine” he had ever seen.

Only half its seats are directly elected.
Political analysts and democracy activists expect authorities will try to disqualify some candidates.
Beijing says the primaries were illegal and may have violated the security law, which punishes what China calls secession, subversion, terrorism and collusion with foreign forces with up to life in prison.

All dramas have a climax. Today, unfolding in the final epoch before the Creator’s appearance is the ultimate battle between good and evil.

Orthodox religions the world over have foretold that in the era of the Creator’s return, the world would be awash with demons, abominations, and ominous events as humanity lost its moral restraints. This is none of other than the world of today.

The state of degeneration we face today has been long in the making. It began hundreds of years ago, with the rise of its core driving force: atheism and the deception of humanity. It was Karl Marx who created an ideology to encompass the deception in all its permutations, and it was Vladimir Lenin who put the theory into brutal practice.
Marx, however, was not an atheist. He followed the devil’s cult and became the demon whose mission was to prevent man from recognizing the Creator in the end times.

On July 15, China’s Xinjiang Autonomous Region started to report new cases of the CCP virus. According to public data and an official announcement, 227 flights to and from Urumqi Airport have been cancelled, and in Changji City, all buses were to be suspended starting from July 17.

It was also rumored that the city of Urumqi may be quarantined.

Videos circulated online show that people in Xinjiang lined up for nucleic acid testing and some hurried to supermarkets to hoard food.

Wang Yong-Ming’s gang affiliation case in Baotou City attracted public attention. A few days ago, Baotou City police followed the lawyers of the case to Hohhot City and forced them to transfer their legal fees in full into the police account, calling the legal fees “stolen money”. Chinese netizens criticized the judiciary system of Baotou City for being completely corrupt.

On the day of the trial a lawyer exposed prosecutor Li from the Prosecutor’s Office of Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Zone, for soliciting $300,000 yuan ($43,000 USD) in bribes from the defendant’s family, and demanded that the prosecutor withdraw from the trial. The lawyer also demanded that the audiotape of the bribe be played in the court but the judge didn’t allow it. This resulted in a physical altercation between the bailiffs and the family.

Several Chinese netizens indicated that Chinese police brutality has reached an all time high: legal fees received by lawyers are described as stolen money? So the living expenses of Wang’s family are also stolen money? Other netizens said Wang Yong-Ming, who is already in critical condition, was refused a bail. His two children were arrested for demanding justice. Even Wang’s 70 year-old mother was summoned. This is not the police doing their job, this is to exterminate Wang’s family!
Wang suffered several heart attacks and had heart failure in the past year since his arrest. His left leg was also amputated. He is in a critical condition. Wang’s case has been going on trial at Baotou Intermediate People’s Court since July 4. More than ten defence lawyers, including Xu Xin, Xi Xiang-Dong, and Feng Yan-Qiang, are defending in this case.

On July 12, the Water Resource Bureau in Hukou county issued an emergency collection announcement. It said that due to the current critical flood situation in the county, emergency materials are in shortage and the local government is in need of woven bags.

This announcement sparked outrage among netizens. Many believe that local governments have developed a habit of asking anything they need from their citizens, and this trend started with the local authorities in Wuhan city, the epicenter of the first CCP virus outbreak in December last year. Netizens said that local authorities call on the people to respond to the floods and to do all sorts of other work. And on top of that, the people still pay taxes but receive no support from the government when they really need it most.

Introduction

The specter of communism did not disappear with the disintegration of the Communist Party in Eastern Europe. The collapse of the communist regimes in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe marked the end of a half-century-long Cold War between the capitalist and communist camps in the East and West. Many were thus optimistic, holding the belief that communism had become a relic of the past.

The sad truth, however, is that a stealthily transformed communist ideology has instead taken hold and entrenched itself around the world. There are the outright communist regimes like China, North Korea, Cuba, and Vietnam; there are the former Soviet Union and Eastern European countries, where communist ideology and customs still exert a significant influence; there are the African and South American countries, which attempt socialism under the banner of democracy and republicanism—and then there are the nations of Europe and North America, whose body politics have become host to communist influences, without people even realizing it.

Communism breeds war, famine, slaughter, and tyranny. These in themselves are terrifying enough, but the damage dealt by communism goes far beyond this. It has become increasingly clear to many that, unlike any other system in history, what communism declares war on is humanity itself—including human values and human dignity. Over the course of a century, communism established massive dictatorships in the Soviet Union and China; it caused more than 100 million unnatural deaths; it enslaved billions, and it brought the world to the brink of nuclear war and thus destruction. Yet more important is its deliberate and widespread destruction of the family, its instigation of social disorder, and its attack on morality, all of which are ruinous to the foundations of civilization.

What, then, is the nature of communism? What is its objective? Why does it take mankind as its enemy? How can we escape it?

In a Beijing community designated as medium-risk for the CCP virus, the authorities decided to replace the residents’ community pass, which costs 30 yuan ($4 USD) each. Everyone must scan it to get in and out of the community. Although it is affordable, the fact that the authorities always try to make money off the pandemic irritated the residents.

Videos released on July 13 showed that young people in the community tried to break through the checkpoint, and wrestled with police guarding the community entrance.

Foreign Minister of China, Wang Yi, recently tried to release more “positive energy” in an open speech emphasizing that China has no intention of challenging or replacing the U.S. and urging both nations to talk to each other and to return to the right track. Experts believe that Wang Yi’s sudden change of attitude and show of weakness explain that the United States has hit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) where it hurts.

In response to Wang’s remarks, Taiwan-based senior political commentator Lin Bao-Hua believes that the United States’ move to counter China’s tech ambitions has really hit the nail on the head. Last month, U.S. lawmakers introduced a bill to boost the United States’ production and development of semiconductors.

China is heavily reliant on foreign imports for semiconductors. According to a report by U.S. trade body Semiconductor Industry Association, the United States currently has a great lead over China in terms of market dominance and technical advancements, despite the latter’s attempts to boost its semiconductor industry through state-backed policies.

The U.S. government officials did not respond to Wang Yi’s remarks. Quite the opposite, after a few hours of Wang’s speech, the United States sanctioned Chen Quanguo, the Party secretary of the Xinjiang region, along with 3 other CCP officials using The Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act to freeze their assets and ban their entry to the U.S.

Recently We Media published a video introducing every single unfinished building in the county. The video went viral. Local residents revealed that the local government is extremely corrupt and the lands to build these unfinished infrastructures were purchased from the locals with low prices. Many houses were demolished by the government without notice and compensation. Local residents are being suppressed by the government for defending their rights.

The video also shows that the same problem exists in Sandu County, near Dushan County. Sandu County is also a poor county and has 10 billion yuan in debts ($1.4 billion USD). There are many expensive investments of unfinished buildings that cost billions of dollars.

The government of Luolong District in Luoyang City, Henan Province, issued a notice in May that it will relocate the subordinate Liu Fu Village for two months. The villagers indicated that the relocation procedure is totally illegal. Some residents even took gas tanks up to their roofs to protest the forced demolitions.

The notice also mentioned that those who do not cooperate in the relocation will be dealt with in accordance with the law. However, the residents of Liu Fu Village indicated that the local government did not follow legal procedures in the relocation.

Residents of Liu Fu Village have gone to the State Council of China and left messages at Henan Provincial Government Website and Provincial Disciplinary Commission Website to reflect the problem, but there is no reply as yet. Mr. Li indicated that violent demolition and relocation happen too often, they really don’t know where to go to find solutions.
