A citizen stepped forward and asked why he drove the government vehicle to the hotel during non-work hours. Under his repeated questioning, the man said he came out to exercise. The citizen then asked him, you drive a government vehicle paid by citizens out just for exercise?

A netizen commented on Twitter: This is an uncle surnamed Ou in Guangzhou District. He has been targeted by Chinese authorities many times.

Citizen: Excuse me, it’s off work time. What are you driving the government vehicle for? Excuse me, why did you drive the car to the hotel? Earlier this Month, Bild, the largest German newspaper had published a bill, that called for the German government and the European Union to secure a compensation of €149 Billion (Euros), the equivalent of $163 Billion, from Beijing, as the cost of the virus to various sectors within the German economy. President Trump was asked during the press briefing, that if his administration is planning on doing the same. President Trump expressed there are many ways on doing that (making China responsible). US President Trump(April 27th, 2020): “And we’re talking about a lot more money than Germany is talking about, yeah. We haven’t determined the final amount yet. It’s very substantial. If you take a look at the world — I mean, this is worldwide damage. This is damage to the U.S., but this is damage to the world.”

As the coronavirus spread makes its way to Africa, Nigeria is also taking its first shot at demanding compensation. According to a Nigerian news report from Daily Post on April 26th, a group of Nigerian lawyers is preparing their sue that demands a compensation of $2000 from the CCP over the effects of the coronavirus outbreak. The group of lawyers plans to first go to the Federal High Court of Nigeria and, second, to persuade the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to institute a state action against the People’s Republic of China at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) at the Hague.The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Federal Republic of Nigeria will be receiving the plaint.

Last week, the Australian government called for WHO to support an investigation over the origin and the spread of the CCP virus. However, the Chinese Ambassador to Australia, Cheng Jingye，however, threatened that Australia’s push for an independent investigation could result in chinese consumers rejecting Australian products, or even stop them from studying or traveling to Australia. Trade Minister Simon Birmingham: “The (Australian) government has made our displeasure with those remarks (from Cheng Jingye) known, our policy positions are clear, they are based on public health principles. The least the world can expect is a transparent inquiry into the causes of COVID-19, so we can understand how best to prevent a repeat episode anytime in the future.” (video from ABC News) Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne issued a statement on April 27th that, the CCP should not have resorted to the means of “economic coercion”. The CCP’s threats have also drawn backlash from the government, the people, and the academia, who have voiced their support to the Australian government over the investigation over the CCP.

The CCP virus outbreak in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province

A doctor of the Department of Cardiology at the Provincial People’s Hospital of Liaoning Province visited Harbin in Heilongjiang province on April 12 and returned 5 days later. He then returned to work at the Liaoning hospital on April 20, and falsely reported his travel history to his employer and his community by saying he visited Liaoning’s Dalian City.

He worked at the outpatient department for 3 days, coming into contact with 116 patients. He also had a wide range of contact with other people in the hospital, soon forcing the hospital to close. More than 3,000 hospital staff had to be tested for the virus.

Presently, the city is urgently tracing all the medical staff who worked at the hospital since April 20.

“Last night, a CCP virus case was confirmed at the Provincial People’s Hospital of Liaoning and now, no one is allowed to enter the hospital. Even police officers are in hiding.”

Online news reported that an outbreak of the CCP virus has occurred in a high school in Zhumadian City, Henan Province—just north of Hubei province—and the students are quarantined at home.

In a video, a student was reported to have died from an unknown illness in Pingyu County, Henan Province. It is unclear whether the student’s death is linked to the reopening of the school and exposure to the CCP virus.

His parents and relatives do not know the reason for his death and have gathered outside the local hospital holding a banner demanding: “Pingyu No. 1 Senior High School, give me back my son!”

Conclusion:
The CCP virus outbreak started in China’s Wuhan, Hubei province, and was covered up for weeks by the CCP, allowing it to get out of control and spread around the world.

Now three months later, the whole world is enduring a pandemic that has already caused more than 200,000 deaths and rising.

This tragedy could have been avoided if the CCP had not censored and lied about the true situation in the first place.

Not only are the Chinese people suffering, but people all around the world are now suffering from the CCP’s actions as the Chinese communist regime continues to deny responsibility for the pandemic.

During the CCP virus pandemic, “positive energy” propaganda has been taken to an extreme. For instance, when Fang Fang, a female writer, and resident of Wuhan, published her diary online during the city-wide lockdown, many internet trolls attacked her for recording the tragedies of Wuhan citizens. They even challenged her, saying, “Did you see those deaths with your own eyes? How dare you to write hearsay as true stories?”

Ms. Zhang Zhan, a dissident and former attorney, living in Shanghai, has been trying to investigate and report on the real situation in Wuhan as a citizen journalist. The following is a conversation between Zhang and a Wuhan resident who ridiculed the CCP’s positive energy propaganda.

Man: Let me tell you, according to the current policy in our country, we should not try to distinguish real from false. There is only a distinction between positive and negative energy. Right? You should know this. You cannot mention deaths. If you do, it will be negative energy. So it’s a forbidden topic. You cannot tell the truth, because it’s considered negative energy. False information is positive energy.

Man: That’s all regarded as negative energy. So stop talking such nonsense. I can only say that not a single person died in Wuhan. The CCP virus never happened because I did not witness any cases. Just like Fang Fang, all my information about the outbreak is what I have heard, not what I have seen, so it does not count.

So I don’t believe in even one death, because the authorities tell us, only what we see with our own eyes is valid.

Zhang: In my case, I visited the crematorium to check the cremators. I went there twice the other day, at noon and midnight.

Man: Oh! you did?

Zhang: Yes.

More news has surfaced this week, involving meddling by Beijing in the politics of the Czech Republic. After the sudden death in January of Senator Jaroslav Kubera, the President of the Czech Senate, his bereaved family went on television on Jan. 27 and accused Czech president Miloš Zeman, who is known to be pro-Beijing leaning, and Zhang Jian-Ming, the Chinese ambassador to the Czech Republic, of threatening and obstructing Jaroslav Kubera from visiting Taiwan and of allegedly hounding him to death.

This came at about the same time that displays of the June 4, 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre were exhibited on the streets of Prague, the Capital of the Czech Republic, and reports that the city’s Mayor, Zdenek Hrib, was being protected by the police for two weeks because he was allegedly a target for poisoning for removing a statue from the Soviet Union.

The accusations that pro-Beijing President Miloš Zeman and Chinese ambassador Zhang Jian-Ming have hounded the late Senator Kubera to death with harassment and threats have caused a major political scandal in the Czech Republic.

Senator Kubera was an important figure during the 1989 Velvet Revolution and has been the number two most important figure in the Czech Republic’s constitutionalism. He was also very friendly with democratic Taiwan. Additionally, during his 2019 term, the Senate passed a resolution supporting religious groups in China, including the spiritual group Falun Gong and calling on the Czech president to demand an end to religious persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Kubera was scheduled to visit Taiwan in February but died from a heart attack on January 20. His wife Vera and his daughter accepted an interview with Czech Television on April 27, accusing the Presidential Palace of the Czech Republic and the Chinese embassy in the Czech Republic of continuously threatening and pressuring Kubera to cancel the trip to Taiwan.

On Oct. 10, 2019, Kubera spoke at a Taiwan National Day Celebration, saying: “This is not my first time attending the National Day Celebration of Taiwan. Thank you for inviting me. I wish the Taiwanese people all the best and admire them for their hard work and achievements. My heartfelt blessings to you all.”

His wife said in the interview that 3 days before he died, Kubera had a “very unpleasant backroom meeting” during the Chinese New Years dinner hosted by the Chinese ambassador. He even advised his wife not to eat the food provided by the Chinese embassy.

After his death, when she and her daughter were sorting out her husband’s belongings, they found in his briefcase two letters from the Czech Republic’s Presidential Palace and the Chinese embassy. The letters were threatening in nature and meant to obstruct Kubera’s visit to Taiwan, even reminding him to consider “the safety of the Kubera family,” according to his wife.

His wife continued, saying that they were terrified after reading the letters and believe that these two letters were the reason for Kubera’s death. She mentioned that Kubera was depressed and did not want to talk seven days before his death. However, he insisted on visiting Taiwan. He once told the family: “Nobody was going to stop Kubera during the days of the communist dictatorship! Now that the Czech Republic is a democratic country, there is no reason to surrender to this type of pressure!”

The new President of the Senate, Miloš Vystrčil, announced that he sent out three consecutive letters to Czech President Miloš Zeman, demanding an explanation for the two “threatening letters” that have caused a major scandal. However, President Zeman has rejected an invitation by Congress to answer questions and help investigate, he said.

Recently, the FCC (Federal Communication Commission) demanded that four Chinese state-owned telecommunication companies conducting business in the United States explain whether or not their operations are lawful.

The FCC announced on April 24 that it is requiring China Telecom Americas, China Unicom Americas, Pacific Networks, and ComNet to declare, within 30 days, that they are not subject to the exploitation, influence, and control by the Chinese communist party.

Otherwise, the FCC will revoke its licenses and authorization that allow them to operate in the United States. These telecommunication companies have been operating in the United States for more than ten years.

The commissioner of the FCC, Brendan Carr, said: “The silencing of criticism from the CCP and the disappearances of doctors and citizen-journalists both exacerbated the spread of the coronavirus (CCP virus) globally.

“The American people are experiencing the impacts of these oppressions as their lives now have been affected—losing their lives and jobs, and their children being unable to attend schools because of the virus.

“Because the CCP is willing to disappear its own people for further expanding and developing their geopolitics, it is only appropriate and reasonable for the FCC to carefully investigate telecommunication companies that have ties with that regime.”

Tom Cotton, Senator from the Republican Party, praised the FCC for the investigation.

He indicated that these companies are spies of the Chinese Communist Party, and their operations in the United States will continue to pose a threat to key U.S. networks.

These four companies are considered to be under the influence and control of the Chinese communist regime and represent a threat to U.S. national security.

The Trump administration’s Interagency Telecommunications Regulatory Task Force, led by the Department of Justice, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense, and the Department of State, suggested that the FCC revoke the licences of any foreign-controlled entities to end their operations in the United States.

President Donald Trump established the task force with an executive order in April, and appointed the members.

Since Trump took office, he has changed the attitude towards foreign companies participating in the construction of U.S. telecommunications infrastructure.

He has imposed administrative and legislative restrictions on companies that are influenced by foreign governments. Huawei, which is considered by the United States to have ties to the military of the Chinese Communist Party, has been a particular focus.

The United States has banned Huawei from participating in the construction of U.S. 5G networks and also warned its allies of the national security threats posed by Huawei’s 5G technology.

In May 2019, the FCC voted unanimously to deny China Mobile a license to operate in the United States because of law enforcement and national security risks. The FCC believed that the Chinese regime could use state-run China Mobile for espionage and intelligence gathering through U.S. telephone networks.

On April 26, hundreds gathered at the Cityplaza mall (Taikoo Shing shopping mall) to peacefully protest.

Last year, an attacker bit off part of Chiu’s ear and he later had to undergo reconstructive surgery. Hong Kong police mocked Chiu after the attack.

On April 26, some residents played “May the Glory return to Hong Kong” in a residential community. After the performance, people applauded and some shouted “Liberate Hong Kong! Revolution of our times!”

Wang had been kept under house arrest in Jinan, Shandong, and the Chinese authorities released him this month.

His wife, Li Wenzu, was hospitalized in Beijing on April 26 for acute appendicitis.

According to Wang’s friend, a family member’s signature would be required to operate on Li for her acute appendicitis. The friend told Wang, “If you don’t make it back, then no one would be able to sign for her operation. Her dad and her sister are both from Hubei, they wouldn’t even be able to enter Beijing even if they tried to come back.”

Wang left Jinan on Sunday, hoping to see his wife and child on the same day. However, he was stopped by local police on the highway immediately upon departure.

Local police escorted Wang to the station, and they waited for further instructions from government officials.

During Wang’s interview on Sunday with Voice of America, he said that although he had been deprived of his political rights, the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) continued to infringe on his personal liberty by stopping him en route to Beijing for a family reunion.

Wang said, “I haven’t been able to even leave this area. I was stopped at the highway entrance.”

“I was annoyed, worried, and tired at the same time.”

On April 27, Wang Xiaoling, a relative of another “709” human rights lawyer, tweeted that Wang Quanzhang was escorted by car by the Jinan police during his entire journey to Beijing.

After learning of the suffering endured by Wang’s family, Zhu Shengwu, a former human rights lawyer from Shandong who currently resides in Canada, said that this tactic is used by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) on dissidents and political prisoners to spread fear around the world and among its own citizens.

Zhu said, “The reason for their treatment may be to spread fear, to allow more people to learn about the ruthless nature of the CCP. The CCP’s rule within China is to intentionally mistreat well-known political prisoners, to intentionally abuse them, and to intentionally spread fear for the world to see. It’s especially done to let the Chinese people see that the CCP would resort to, no matter how extreme, to maintain the control.”

Presently, a renowned Japanese brand, Iris Ohyama, may be the very first company to receive subsidies from the Japanese government’s Supply Chain Restructuring Program. They are planning to move the production of non-woven fabric, the raw material for facial masks, from China back to Japan in order to increase the local productivity of facial masks. On April 9, the Japanese government declared that it has $2.2 billion U.S. dollars in funding to assist Japanese companies returning from China and resettling in Japan or other countries in Southeast Asia.

On the same day, the Director of the United States of Economic Council, Larry Kudlow, suggested that the U.S. should help pay for the costs related to the relocation of those American companies that want to leave China. Eric Brown, a senior researcher at Hudson Institute, said, “Japan is seriously thinking about how to best position its economic recovery and to bring about the benefits of geopolitics. The United States of American should do the same.”

Economist Stephen Moore from The Heritage Foundation expressed, “Many CEO’s and companies are moving forward now without any kind of government assistance because they don’t think China is reliable and trustworthy any longer, and “Made in China” is just not a saler in the United States anymore, and so there are a lot of forces that are moving towards bringing it home “Made in the U.S.A.”

In addition to the reassessment of supply chain management, the U.S. Financial Sector is also now re-examining the risks of Chinese companies listed on the stock market. On April 21, the Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commision, Jay Clayton, the Chairman of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, William Duhnke, and 3 other individuals issued a joint statement warning investors of the financial risks of Chinese companies.

Due to the lack of transparency in the financial reports of Chinese companies over the past years, it is very unlikely that the investors will be compensated when things go wrong. Experts believe that this CCP virus pandemic has urged countries to rethink the risks of dealing financially with China and the importance of decentralization with China. Senior Director of The National Interest, Harry Kazianis, said,“As you see more of these supply chains leaving China going back to the U.S., back to other countries, they are going to have less of a reason to say nice things and do nice things for China, and I think you will see things change pretty quickly after that.”

There are more than 100,000 residents in Hubei province working in garment factories or owning shops in the Haizhu District. But because of the CCP virus pandemic, no one is able to sell anything. On April 21 and 22, store owners from many cities in Haizhu District went on strike and protested in the streets, shouting the slogan “Rent Deduction,” which caused suppression and many arrests by police officers and the military.

Store and garment factory owners have been demanding rent deduction for 3 months, but the government has not yet replied to the request. Store owners from Shang Yong Tsun, Hou Jiao, Kang Le, Lu Jiang and other cities in Haizhu District in Guangzhou, went on strike for two consecutive days and chanted the slogan “Rent Deduction.”

Mr. Li, a hotel owner from Shang Yong Tsun in Guangzhou, expressed that the hotel’s stay rate is low because of the CCP pandemic, but he still needs to pay the expensive rent. They went on to protest in the streets but were suppressed by police officers who beat up and arrested some of them. The government officials only mitigated the situation with words but never actually implemented a rent deduction.

He further added: “Nobody comes to stay. These properties are state-owned, some of them are privately owned, but the government has not yet replied. I saw the news on TV and on my phone the day before yesterday, on how the Secretary promised a 3-month rent deduction. However, it has not yet been implemented here. The police officers are the worst and I am afraid.”

Mr. Wang is a garment factory owner in Lu Jiang village, Guangzhou, and he expressed that his national orders have decreased due to the pandemic. They have demanded a 3-month rent deduction but the government has not replied yet. Ultimately, he was only given 1 month of rent deduction.

He added: “They cut 2 weeks off for 2 months, which is only one month in total. I don’t know what they did because we asked for a 3-month rent deduction.”

According to the official data in Haizhu District, there are almost 190,000 people from Hubei Province registered there and they are mostly concentrated in places like Kang Le village. As a result, these villages are called Hubei Villages. These people from Hubei Province mostly work in garment manufacturing and fulfill orders for apparel in wholesale markets such as Gaungzhou Bai Ma, Sha He, and Shi San Xing.

Many countries are demanding reform within the WHO and have called for the CCP to be held accountable for the pandemic. Australia, being one of the most vocal countries, has been threatened by the CCP with a boycott in tourism and foreign trade. The foreign minister of Australia said Monday that he would not submit to the coercion.

As of April 27, the number of confirmed cases of the CCP virus in Australia reached 6,714, with 83 deaths. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton, and Foreign Minister Marise Payne, recently called for the international community to send independent inspectors into China to investigate the actions taken by the Chinese Communist Party since the outbreak of the virus.

Tom Connell, a journalist with Sky News Australia, said: “Yes, it’s a very united push one for a global independent inquiry into COVID-19. Clearly, they have been focused a lot on the role of the WHO and also the role of China. What the Chinese Communist Party knew and when, and what was done to try to suppress the virus. So perhaps, in cases, what was not done.”

The Australian Financial Review reported on the 26th that Cheng Jingye, the Chinese ambassador to Australia, said Australia’s pursuit of an independent investigation into the coronavirus pandemic was “dangerous” and could spark a boycott of students and tourists visiting Australia, as well as sales of popular agricultural products exports such as beef and wine. However, Australia did not back down.

Sky News Australia anchor Laura Jayes said, “The government is not backing down from a push inquiring into China’s handling of coronavirus despite the threat from the Chinese ambassador.”

On the 27th, Foreign Minister Marise Payne responded to Cheng Jingye, saying that Australia’s call for an independent inquiry into the CCP virus comes at the right time and is a principled call. She added: “This is an unprecedented global crisis that has serious health, economic, and social implications. We reject any suggestion that economic duress is appropriate to respond to calls for such assessments. What we need at this time is global cooperation.”

British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace also expressed his support for the Australian call for an investigation into the CCP virus outbreak inside China.
