A man aboard a Southwest Airlines flight was arrested after a fellow passenger said she witnessed him texting about child molestation, police in California said.
The woman, who was on a Southwest Airlines flight from Seattle to San Jose on Monday, told authorities she saw the man — identified by police as 56-year-old Tacoma, Washington, resident Michael Kellar — using a large smartphone with an enlarged font to text about “sexually molesting young children,” according to the San Jose Police Department.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — The owner of a day care in South Philadelphia is accused of sexually abusing two children in his care.
Police announced Wednesday that Duncan Round, 53, of Medford Lakes, New Jersey, is charged with seven counts of rape, sexual assault and related offenses.
The victims are one boy and one girl, both five years old. Investigators say they were assaulted multiple times inside the day care.
A former middle school instructional assistant infected with HIV is facing more than 100 felony counts of child sex abuse and other offenses after authorities in Southern Maryland identified at least two dozen victims, according to Charles County court documents and lawyers.
The case against Carlos Deangelo Bell, 30, began after a parent noticed sexually explicit text messages on her son’s phone. A police investigation later determined that the child abuse spanned nearly two years until Bell was arrested in late June and that some of the incidents may have taken place in classrooms on public school property.

SAN DIEGO – A state prosecutor and son of an infamous figure in the Watergate scandal was arrested on a child pornography charge at his home in Coronado, reports CBS affiliate KFMB.
California Deputy Attorney General Raymond Joseph Liddy, 53, was reportedly taken into custody and booked into federal jail Tuesday. He is the son of G. Gordon Liddy.
Raymond Liddy was accused of possessing pornographic images.
“He has plead not guilty. This is the very beginning of the case and then we will get to the end and figure out what it is all about,” said Liddy’s attorney, Knut Johnson. View on YouTube
RANDOLPH – The mayor of Randolph will be in court next week to face multiple felonies related to a child sexual assault investigation.
Court documents indicate that 61-year old Dwayne Schutt was arrested on Thursday. A warrant for his arrest was issued last week following an investigation that yielded four counts of sexual assault of a child and one count of felony child abuse.

Republican senators on Wednesday voted to break their seven-year old promise to repeal Obamacare. In a vote on a “clean” repeal bill that would have phased out much of Obamacare’s taxes and spending while leaving its core regulations intact, seven Republicans voted “no,” denying Republicans the 50 votes that would have been required for passage. In 2015, when Republicans passed the identical bill that was vetoed by President Obama, six of those seven Republicans (save Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine) voted in favor of repeal. The reversal of the remaining senators represents a dramatic turnaround.

The arrest on Monday of the Rev. John T. Sweeney, of Greensburg, marks the latest crackdown on clergy sex abuse in Pennsylvania and is part of a broader ongoing investigation by the state Attorney General’s office into additional allegations of abuse by priest.

We demand the release from 5 months ILLEGAL detention of Jewish Israeli Human Rights Lawyer Zvi Zer. You arrested him and charged him with helping two bloggers who were exposing the wrongdoings of judges and social workers.
You have put him at risk as an attempt was made on his life for being GAY. You have locked him in solitary confinement, denying him his family visit or phone calls. You have humiliated him and emotionally mentally and physically tortured him.
Your Judge Abraham Heiman of the Tel Aviv District Court has refused to honour domestic law, Supreme Court principles, International Law and UN treaties on fair treatment. Your Judge refuses to consider bail or house arrest. You denied the human rights lawyer his evidence, and made him PAY to get it. You have denied him dignity and innocence before guilt.
You have denied his probono clients any representation who are left in despair and losing their hearings. Many of whom are foreign nationals trapped in Israel and starving, many of whom are American. You have denied him to help american children who need his support in juvenile and welfare cases.
We demand that your Judge Heiman gives him bail, and not commit to his word that he will decide in September after his own summer holiday.
Innocence before guilt is a democratic way. This is a blight on Israel’s reputation of an honest judiciary and democracy. Release Zvi Zer to the safety of his family and allow him access to his evidence in order to defend himself. This is an outrageous abuse of human rights, and a shock to the American people.
