[W]hen I look at Portland, when I look at Minneapolis, where they took over police precincts and everything else, and went after federal buildings, when I look at other situations that were violent, and where people were killed, nothing happened to them,” Trump said during an interview with TIME Magazine. He continued: “Nothing happened to them. I think it’s a two-tier system of justice. I think it’s a very, very sad thing.”

During Thursday’s deliberations at the U.S. Supreme Court on former President Donald Trump’s immunity claim, Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh warned that a decision in the case has future implications for whether future presidents are shielded from vicious cycles of malicious prosecution that could effectively end the presidency as we know it.

BREAKING: U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas raised the question to Trump’s lawyers if they have challenged special counsel Jack Smith’s authority to bring charges against the former president, which could provide a loophole that may disqualify Smith.

Mr. Sauer said that Trump attorneys have not raised such concerns “directly” in the current case at the Supreme Court however, Trump’s attorney John Sauer agrees with the “analysis provided by AG Edwin Meese and AG Michael B. Mukasey,” referring to the amicus brief the two former attorneys general submitted to the Supreme Court on March 19.

In the brief, the two attorneys general argue that Mr. Smith “does not have authority to conduct the underlying prosecution.”

The role of Barron Trump is far greater than we know??

Reading the tea-leaves of the comments has left most believing that SCOTUS will fail to grant former President Trump the full immunity he is seeking (choosing instead to narrow the protections for former presidents), but are likely to issue a ruling that could further delay his trial on charges of conspiring to overturn the 2020 election.

That would be a partial win for the former President.
