The National Guard clashes with anti-Maduro protesters at the entrance of Las Mercedes neighborhood, east of Caracas, Thursday. The clashes ensued as the National Guard fired tear gas at the protesters, to prevent them from reaching the Supreme Court of Justice, allegedly in search for General Prosecutor Luisa Ortega. More than 100 people lost their lives in more than 90 days of street violence since the start of the protest, as according to the Venezuelan Ministry of Communication.
