The Daily Mail reports a police officer who was on duty at the Florida event and did nothing to stop it has been suspended. Deputy Scott Peterson, who was armed with a handgun, didn’t follow police procedure and immediately confront the perpetrator when he started his rampage, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s department.
