On Wednesday, May 20th, President Donald Trump publicly criticized the spokesperson of Foreign Ministry of China on Twitter and condemned the Chinese Communist Party for attempting to transfer the responsibility of the pandemic and for spreading massive disinformation propaganda. President Trump pointed out that it was the incompetence of the Chinese Communist Party that caused the plague, so top CCP officials need to be held responsible for the pandemic.

In addition, the White House published its strategic approach to the People’s Republic of China. The report addresses economic challenges, attacks on U.S. values, and security threats from the Chinese Communist Party. The report indicates that the Trump administration will put even more pressure on the CCP.

On the late evening of May 20th, President Trump tweeted: “China is on a massive disinformation campaign because they are desperate to have Sleepy Joe Biden win the presidential race so they can continue to rip-off the United States, as they have done for decades, until I came along!”

He further sent out three more tweets to refute the comments of the spokesman of Foreign Ministry of China.

One tweet said: “Spokesman speaks stupidly on behalf of China, trying desperately to deflect the pain and carnage that their country spread throughout the world. Its disinformation and propaganda attack on the United States and Europe is a disgrace….”

Another tweet said: “Some wacko in China just released a statement blaming everybody other than China for the Virus which has now killed hundreds of thousands of people. Please explain to this dope that it was the “incompetence of China”, and nothing else, that did this mass Worldwide killing!”

His last tweet said: “….It all comes from the top. They could have easily stopped the plague, but they didn’t!”

President Trump is pushing back the narratives made by the Foreign Ministry spokesman, Zhao Lijian, on May 20th. Zhao Lijian tweeted on May 20th, distorting Trump’s open letter calling for a reform of the World Health Organization and further deflecting responsibility for the pandemic.
