I’ll comment more extensively after I post the picture. So these were only few of the ones that “popped in” to my consciousness as I drove back from coffee today. And I noticed them extensively in Kona during the last two or three weeks…

Huge Hole Appears In Cloud Formation Over Finland

The weather phenomenon was probably formed by ice crystals in the sky reacting with a ‘plate’ of droplets a bit lower down in the skies, according to the Finnish Meteorological Institute. On closer examination it looks almost too perfect to have been caused naturally.
