The US Air Force (USAF) test-launched an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) from the US Air Force North Vandenberg base, just days after North Korea reportedly fired an ICBM into the Sea of Japan.
North Korea tested a long-range projectile last Friday, which the US and South Korean militaries have since assessed to be an ICBM. The missile was launched from an area in Mupyong-ni. It reportedly flew 1,000km (621 miles) before landeding in the Sea of Japan.

The first stage of the individual tank biathlon of the 2017 International Army Games is under way in Alabino, near Moscow. Teams from seven countries are taking part in the games, which were first held in 2015. They will compete in 28 different disciplines, including contests with tanks, snipers, and various air and sea disciplines.
