Famed Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz shot down claims of obstruction of justice Wednesday, telling CNN’s Anderson Cooper that presidents have the right to start or stop any investigation.

Dershowitz said that, constitutionally, a president may direct an intelligence agent to stop an investigation. The “best proof” of that fact, he says, is that Trump could’ve easily pardoned former national security advisor Michael Flynn and the entire investigation would have been over anyway.

“Trump could have told Comey, ‘You are commanded, you are directed, to drop the prosecution against Flynn.’ The president has the right to do that,” he explained. “Remember also what the president could’ve done. He could’ve said to Comey, ‘Stop this investigation, I am now pardoning Flynn. That’s what President Bush did.”
Dershowitz cited the case of Caspar Weinberger, who was pardoned by George H.W. Bush before he could be tried in relation to the Iran-Contra scandal.

“You cannot have obstruction of justice when the President exercises his constitutional authority to pardon, his constitutional authority to fire the director of the FBI, his constitutional authority to tell the director of the FBI who to prosecute, who not to prosecute,” Dershowitz elaborated.

“You don’t believe he was trying to influence of impede any possible or further investigation into Flynn?” Cooper asked.

“What I’m telling you is that even if he did want it to impede it, and even if he did impede it, that is his constitutional power. He has the right to say, ‘You will not investigate Flynn.’”

It’s great to finally see the government taking action against the loser leaking our nation’s classified information to the liberal media.

Reality Winner, the government contractor who leaked top secret information to discredit President Trump, was arrested. As repulsive as her actions were, her parents’ reaction to the arrest was infuriating. Her parents said she was “very scared” and didn’t expect to get caught at all!

Excuse me? So, you leak classified information for political reasons. You knowingly break the law. And when you’re caught, you’re surprised. Why does it not surprise me that a criminal Democrat is playing the victim card?

First of all, before we even get into this any further, can we all just agree “Reality Winner” is among the lousiest names you can give your kids? It’s no wonder she turned into a left-wing nut.

Winner’s parents, who are most likely adamant liberals themselves, appeared on Anderson Cooper basically asserting that the consequences their daughter is facing are “injustices”. As always with liberals, they want to turn Trump into the “bad guy.”

Her mother told Cooper that the 25-year-old leaker was “very scared” when they arrested her. No kidding? Was she supposed to be giddy knowing she was going to be locked away in jail for crimes against her country?

Mrs. Winner went on to say that the FBI agents who arrested her daughter took the young government contractor into a back room of her house. She added that the room was “never used.” What does that have to do with anything?
Obviously, the FBI agents had to discuss classified matters with Reality, so they needed privacy and requested a room to talk in privately. How were they supposed to know it was “never used?” Mrs. Winner wants to make us think they were Gestapo agents waterboarding their daughter in secret!

Then, the mother goes on to say that the FBI agents were “all armed.” Well, duh! They’re FBI agents! Of course they’re armed. This isn’t Britain where law enforcement has nothing more than night sticks to fight delinquents with! Again, she and Anderson Cooper are trying to portray Reality Winner as a poor victim of the “evil Trump regime!”

The fact is, Winner has no one but herself to blame. Trump isn’t even directly involved in this. The FBI is simply doing its job — taking action against a person who broke the law. This isn’t a political issue for them. Reality Winner would have been arrested for what she did no matter the administration in office. The law is the law!

Of course, that’s something Democrats can’t seem to grasp. They have no respect for law and order. They thrive in lawlessness and disorder. As long as they get their way politically, they don’t mind betraying their country’s secrets.

We previously reported that the company Cantor Fitzgerald will be paying Obama $400,000 to give a speech for their health insurance conference in September.

The size of Obama’s paycheck is frustrating to many Americans who don’t understand how Obama can rake in speaking fees while receiving a taxpayer funded pension as well.

Everyday Americans don’t receive Social Security if they are working. Shouldn’t the same rule apply to government employees?

Obama definitely doesn’t think so, and vetoed a bill last year that would have put a limit on the amount of money former presidents are allowed to earn if they want to keep receiving their full pensions.

Unfortunately for Obama, his veto may now be worthless.

Recently, Obama has been giving talks to Wall Street in return for large sums of money. As a response, Congress is going to introduce a bill which will curb a president’s pension if they take over $400,000 of outside money.
If this bill can get past Congress, President Trump is likely to sign it. It would be a huge step in the fight to stop politicians from trading their influence for money.

President Trump doesn’t have to worry about this bill affecting him in the future because he is rich on his own. It’s a large part of why he won the election!

Obama on the other hand has no problem accepting Cantor Fitzgerald’s bribe. All he’s been good for since becoming an ex-president is relaxing at various locations around the globe. The occasional speech money allows him to keep up his lavish lifestyle.

If Obama wants to follow in Hillary’s footsteps and work the speaker’s market, then his taxpayer funded Secret Service protection, salary and personal expenses should be cut.

Musician and alternative icon Courtney Love has blasted anti-Donald Trump Women’s March leader and Muslim activist Linda Sarsour, calling her a “vile disgrace to women and all mankind” in a message on social media Wednesday.

“You’re a vile disgrace to women and all mankind [Linda Sarsour],” posted Love, the former partner of the late Nirvana musician Kurt Cobain, before engaging in an argument with Women’s March social media head Alyssa Klein.
“Linda is the kindest, most generous, most incredible woman I know. She makes me proud to be a woman. I am forever proud to be her sister,” responded Klein, prompting Love to reply “Well that’s a shame, count me out of anything else related to her. Shes a fraud.”

Sarsour quickly responded to Love’s post, commenting “[Courtney Love is] trying to make a name for herself amongst Trump supporters I guess. Denying a woman justice who was brutally beaten.”

In 2011, Sarsour also expressed her desire to “take the vagina away” from Ayaan Hirsi Ali, an ex-Muslim activist and a victim of female genital mutilation.

“I wish I could take their vaginas away,” Sarsour declared, referencing Ayaan Hirsi Ali and ACT for America founder Brigitte Gabriel for their criticism of Islam. “They don’t deserve to be women.”

According to Alex VanNess, director of the Middle East Peace & Security Project at Secure Freedom, Sarsour “also has a long history of criticizing Israel in ways that cross the line into anti-Semitism and terrorist sympathizing.”

“She supports the discriminatory and terror-tied BDS Movement and has claimed that ‘nothing is creepier’ than Zionism,” he reported in February. “She called for solidarity with Muhammad Allan, a member of the terrorist group Palestinian Islamic Jihad who has a history of recruiting suicide bombers.”

Sarsour has also previously called the act of throwing rocks at Israelis “courage.”
