Legendary investor Jim Rogers says Western Civilization is going to collapse.
Debt is higher than ever. Therefore, this crisis “will be worse than anything in our lifetime,” Rogers predicts. Governments, countries, and banks will fail, he says.
How should we prepare? “If you start investing in things you don’t know about, I assure you you’re going to have real problems when the situation goes bad, “ Rogers warns, “Stay with what you know.” He expects agriculture to do well going forward. In the short run, he in is bullish on the U.S. Dollar and bearish on precious metals. But in the long run, he sees confidence being eroded in the Dollar, and more movement into gold and silver.
Rogers expects governments to restrict the use of gold and silver when the crisis hits.

Many of the contaminants can be filtered out, but the technology does not presently exist to remove tritium from water… Fishermen who operate in waters off the plant say any release of radioactive material will devastate an industry that is still struggling to recover from the initial nuclear disaster…

JERUSALEM (Reuters) – Israel’s foreign ministry has issued a statement denouncing U.S. billionaire George Soros, a move that appeared designed to align Israel more closely with Hungary ahead of a visit to Budapest next week by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Soros, a Hungarian-born Jew who has spent a large part of his fortune funding pro-democracy and human rights groups, has repeatedly been targeted by Hungary’s right-wing government, in particular over his support for more open immigration.
In the latest case, Prime Minister Viktor Orban has backed a campaign in which Soros is singled out as an enemy of the state. “Let’s not allow Soros to have the last laugh” say billboards next to a picture of the 86-year-old investor, a campaign that Jewish groups and others say foments anti-Semitism. http://ift.tt/2u0aoyN
