This is very weird! A Rancho Cordova community is itching for answers after several neighbors reported getting rashes and what appears to be a bizarre allergic reaction. Many of the incidents happened last weekend at a time when several fires broke out nearby. That made many people wonder if the smoke in the air caused the complaints on the skin.

‘Chameleon’ Material Can Turn Russia’s Military Helmets and Tanks ‘Invisible’

A Russian company has made a combat helmet capable of mimicking its surroundings – and making soldiers invisible to enemy eyes. This tech can also be applied to combat vehicles.
“One of our projects is a material which, like a chameleon, mimics the color of the surrounding environment,” the CEO of the state corporation Rostec Sergey Chemezov told the TASS news agency on Tuesday. “We designed a helmet using this technology, and will demonstrate it at one of the expos in the nearest future.”

The company is constantly upgrading military gear, with the goal of making the soldiers more protected and better equipped, Chemezov said, adding that the test samples of the new materials have already been produced.

A strong eruption occurred at Vanuatu’s Ambae volcano at 03:30 UTC on July 16, 2018. The eruption ejected ash up to 9.1 km (33 000 feet) above sea level.

Specialist stumbled across the find near Egypt’s famed pyramids at an ancient necropolis south of Cairo.

The discovery includes a mummification workshop and a shaft, which was used as a communal burial place, and is located at the Saqqara necropolis of Memphis – the first capital of ancient Egypt.

The tiny village of Innaarsuit is situated in northwestern Greenland, facing out over the frigid waters of Baffin Bay. The enormous iceberg crept closer to the village for days, before becoming grounded in shallow water on Thursday, according to local media outlet KNR.

Expanding Cracks and Fissures Open Up In Grand Teton National Park, Area Closed Off

A highly popular area near Jenny Lake in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming has been closed to the public for the immediate future due to concerns over expanding cracks and fissures in a large rock formation, park officials said Tuesday evening.

The National Park Service implemented an emergency closure in the Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point areas on the west side of Jenny Lake for human safety. Some recently expanding cracks and fissures have been identified in a large rock buttress above the Hidden Falls viewing area, a park release said.

“Human safety is our No. 1 priority, and with an abundance of caution we are temporarily closing this area until we can properly assess the situation,” said Superintendent David Vela.
