Burning cars, looting & chaos: Hundreds protest in Haiti demanding president to step down

Hundreds gathered in downtown Port-au-Prince Tuesday to demonstrate against economic mismanagement and corruption and to ask for President Jovenel Moise to step down.

Looters took control of a portion of the city’s business district, breaking into stores and carrying off anything they could.
A gas station and a number of vehicles were set on fire by the angry group.

Moment car bomb rocks Syrian checkpoint near Turkish border crossing

CCTV footage from the Turkish side of the Kilis border crossing captured the moment a car bomb exploded at a Syrian checkpoint on the outskirts of the town of al-Rai on Tuesday.

Seven people, including three police officers, were reportedly injured in the explosion which occurred roughly 5km (3 miles) from the Turkish-Syrian border.

Farmers spill milk on motorway to protest falling prices

A livestock farmers protest in Sardinia entered its fourth day on Monday, with farmers from near the Sardinian village of Ozieri splashing milk on vehicles as they passed underneath a bridge
Milk producers are protesting against a reported drop in price of ovine milk of more than 25%.

Road blocks started to pop up throughout the island, where protesters are spilling thousands of liters of milk, hitting cars and trucks on the road. Protesters said that they would rather destroy the milk than sell it below what they see as a fair price.

Chaos & looting: Violent clashes grip Haiti

Thousands of protesters took to the streets of the Haitian capital on Monday, clashing with police for the fifth straight day of demonstrations against economic mismanagement and corruption.

Thousands marched in the street of Port-au-Prince, car tires were lit in the middle of the streets and at least two businesses were looted.

Organizers pledged more protests in the days to come, increasing pressure on President Jovenel Moise, who is calling for negotiations with the opposition.
