Falun Gong was established in 1992 by Li Hong Jur. It’s an advanced self-cultivation practice that improves mental and physical wellness through physical exercises, and the development of one’s character. By the late 90s, the Chinese government said up to 70 million people were practicing daily. The Chinese Communist Party targeted any groups that were gaining momentum with stark contrast to communist ideals. The party chief Jang Zemin (who served 89-02) declared Falun Gong a threat to the power of the Chinese Communist Party. He created the 6-10 Agency in 1999 which began to eliminate Falun Gong by use of enslavement in labor camps and organ harvesting/murder.
Initially the government publicly campaigned against them using propaganda techniques. Then as it became more apparent what was happening, through media channels and investigative journalism, Falun Gong became a taboo topic. There was a 2012 US congressional hearing where an estimated 65K deaths were reported associated to the Falun Gong being murdered for their organs.
Mitchell Nicholas Gerber, an activist and Falun Gong practitioner, has dedicated 20 years of his life to expose and help stop the most brutal persecution and human rights atrocity in the modern history of China: the state mandated and endorsed LIVE organ harvesting of the people involved in the Falun Gong spiritual movement (and other people as well).
