Beaver High School in Beaver County, Pennsylvania – the school officials tried to stop a student from including references to God in her commencement speech, Faithwire reported.

The administration initially wanted graduate Moriah Bridges to “remove all religious references” from her commencement address, including the words “God,” “Lord” and a prayer she had included. Effectively, they wanted her to silence Jesus.

Alexandria shooting victim Matt Mika is showing “positive results” after undergoing additional surgery and is expected to make a full recovery, his family said in a statement Saturday.

“While we know there will be difficult and challenging days ahead for Matt and our family, the physicians and specialists at Matt’s side expect a full recovery,” the statement said.

Mika, a lobbyist for Tyson Foods and former congressional aide, was shot when a lone gunman opened fire on the Republican congressional baseball team’s practice Wednesday morning. Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise, congressional aide Zach Barth and US Capitol Police officer Crystal Griner were also shot in the early morning ambush; Capitol Police officer David Bailey and Texas Rep. Roger Williams were injured.

Mika’s family praised the care the team at George Washington University Hospital have given him and said they are “grateful beyond words for the heroic actions” of the two officers, who have been widely hailed for preventing further bloodshed. The family said that Mika is responsive.
“He continues to communicate with us through notes, and even signed the game ball for the Congressional Baseball Game,” their statement said. “Matt especially valued the professionalism of the officers of the Capitol Police, and would appreciate contributions to the Capitol Police Memorial Fund, one of the designated charities at Thursday night’s ball game.”

Mika will remain in the intensive care unit through at least the weekend, the family said.

Late-night host Stephen Colbert included a skit in his Tuesday show to poke fun at both the President Donald Trump and the first lady, suggesting that Melania Trump fantasizes about Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The mock-interview, in which the first lady was played by “Supergirl” actress Laura Benanti, was centered around Melania’s recent move from New York City into the White House.

“It’s like their second honeymoon, and for Donald, his fourth,” Colbert joked.

Benanti started off by stating that she searched for reasons to not move in with the president, but could not find any.

“It was so lonely in New York doing whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. I called it my prison of freedom,” she said.

Colbert then asked if she was all moved into the White House, and Benanti responded by showcasing various items, including a framed picture of Melania flicking away the president’s hand during his trip to Israel in May.

“It wasn’t a slap,” Benanti said, imitating Melania’s accent. “His hands are so small, I thought it was mosquito.”
When Colbert asked if she expects the president to serve all 4 years of his term, Benanti responded, “America took a vow, and Donald Trump is our president. […] And we must honor that. No matter how often America fantasizes about being with Justin Trudeau,” adding sexually suggestive movements upon the mention of the Canadian prime minister’s name.

President Donald Trump, along with his wife Melania and son Barron, boarded Marine One Saturday for the family’s first visit to Camp David.

Stephanie Grisham, the director of communications for first lady Melania Trump, revealed the visit in a tweet Friday night. The family will stay at Camp David through Father’s Day on Sunday.
The president has relaxed on weekends by traveling to his properties in Florida and New Jersey. Camp David has traditionally been the getaway spot for presidents ever since 1942, and Trump will be the 14th president to stay there.

The retreat is located 68 miles northwest of the capitol in the hills of Maryland’s Catoctin Mountain Park. Prior to getting into office, President Trump said in an interview that “Camp David is very rustic, it’s nice, you’d like it.”

Jennifer Scalise, the wife of House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), released a statement Friday thanking supporters for an “incredible amount of prayers” two days after Scalise was shot during a congressional GOP baseball practice.

Scalise and four others were injured Wednesday when a gunman opened fire on them at a baseball field in Alexandria, Va.

In the statement, Scalise thanks Capitol Police officers David Bailey and Crystal Griner, who shot the suspected gunman despite both being injured themselves. Police identified the gunman as James Hodgkinson, who later died from his injuries.

“On behalf of Steve and our children, I want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for the incredible amount of prayers and warm wishes we have received since Wednesday’s events,” Scalise wrote. “We are especially appreciative of the strong outpouring of love and support from our neighbors, friends, from Louisiana and across the country, as well as from President Trump, Vice President Pence, and all of Steve’s colleagues who have reached out to us during this most challenging time.

“Most importantly, we are forever grateful for the heroism of Special Agents Crystal Griner and David Bailey, who saved the lives of everyone at the baseball field that morning, including Steve’s. Crystal and David have been family to us for years, and we ask that you continue to pray for their full recovery.”
The statement was read aloud at a press conference by Brett Horton, Scalise’s chief of staff. Scalise was visited in the hospital Wednesday by President Trump and Thursday by Vice President Pence.

UConn police identified Cruz-Lopez through surveillance cameras and his UConn swipe card, according to a warrant. Police also installed extra cameras to help them find the vandal, reported the Hartford Courant.

Cruz-Lopez was arrested on May 7 and released without having to post bail – and is no longer enrolled at UConn.

‘I did the graffiti,’ he wrote in his police statement.

‘I am open to entering into a conversation about restitution.’

According to arrest paperwork, Cruz-Lopez is a community organizer for CT Students for a Dream, an organization that advocates on behalf of undocumented immigrants and has described himself as one too.

He has not yet entered a plea to the charges and is not represented by a lawyer. He is due back in Superior Court in Rockville on June 14.

Oftentimes illegals who are protesting will commit crimes that they know will not be prosecuted, because of the protester’s illegal status. This emboldens them to flagrantly violate American laws just to get themselves arrested which brings more attention to the illegal immigration issue.

He warned of emerging threats to the United States and its national security from Islamic terror groups, Russia, Iran, North Korea, and even went as far as to make a reference to climate change. But his harshest criticism was for the US Congress, for failing to pass budgets on time year after year and refusing to repeal the arbitrary budget caps that legislators passed into law during the 2011 budget deadlock as part of the Budget Control Act. More widely known as sequestration.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the term, it refers to a legal clause that goes into effect when our federal government doesn’t pass a budget in a timely manner. It caps the spending across the board and has translated into lower budgets than the Defense Department deems necessary to pay our troops, keep our military hardware running, research and develop, and to buy new military technology.

What is sequestration?

Let’s get the pedantry out of the way, shall we? It’s sequestration. Sequester is a verb. Everyone from Obama on down has used “sequester” as a noun, but lest you suffer the wrath of your nit-picking friends, call it sequestration. Learn it, love it, let’s move on.
Sequestration is $1.2 trillion in automatic spending cuts due to go into effect over the next 10 years, with roughly $85 billion slated for this year. Make no mistake, a lot of people in both parties want to cut spending. The reason so many people hate sequestration, though, is that agencies and departments don’t have any input on how it goes into effect—the spending cuts are implemented across the board.

Whose idea was it anyway?

It’s been widely reported that the idea for sequestration came from Jack Lew, who was Obama’s budget director at the time and went on to become his chief of staff and is now his Treasury secretary nominee. But to stop there misses the point, many argue.
Sequestration was put into effect as part of the Budget Control Act of 2011. Both parties had already agreed to about $1 trillion in cuts, but couldn’t agree on what to do next to get the nation’s fiscal house in order. They were also desperate to raise the national borrowing limit to prevent a default—an occurrence that would arguably inflict more damage than sequestration. To achieve both goals—raising the borrowing limit and improving the nation’s fiscal standing—they borrowed from a Reagan-era law.

The idea was simple: schedule automatic cuts for the future that were so bad to everybody that Congress would be compelled to implement better, smarter cuts before they hit. Sequestration was initially scheduled for the start of the year. Lawmakers delayed it then, but it now seems unlikely that anything will be done before it goes into effect on March 1 (though it could be addressed retroactively).

Are you a fan of flying? Well, if nothing is done, airline passengers could start seeing meaningful delays by April 1 under sequestration. That’s because the Federal Aviation Administration, which is facing $600 million in cuts, may have to start furloughing thousands of employees, Transportation Secretary and former Republican lawmaker Ray Lahood said on Friday. The cuts could also lead to the closing of hundreds of air traffic control towers, making it harder for planes to land and take off.

In the wake of the violent shooting that took place on Wednesday in a suburb of D.C., the nation is still holding its collective breath, trying to understand both the reason, and whether it will happen again. This horrendous event was obviously politically motivated, and even though the shooter was shot by security and eventually died of his wounds, we’re left wondering what made him motivated enough to do something like this and whether there are others like him ready to strike.

It’s hard to see something like this as anything other than domestic terrorism. Yes, we usually equate that phrase with those who ascribe to a particular religion, but the word “terrorism” brings with it the connotation of someone who’s attempting to manipulate a large group of people with fear. I think that would be an accurate portrayal of what this far left individual was attempting to do. He wanted to beat down the Republicans ideals with the threat of violence and death.

What’s even scarier is that this attack may have been more planned than what we even originally thought. This shooter was (thankfully) stopped at his first outburst, however, it appears as if he had an entire hit list of objectionable conservatives that he planned to eliminate. The list that was found by investigators sheds a disturbing light on the shooter’s plans.

“James T. Hodgkinson, the shooter who opened fire on dozens of Republican congressmen and staffers at a baseball practice in Alexandria, Virginia, on Wednesday, had a list of Republican names in his pocket that was recovered by the FBI, The Daily Caller has learned.

The news that the shooter had a list of names suggests the shooting was not a random outburst, but instead appears to be a premeditated political assassination.

The list was written out on notepad paper and found in the shooter’s pocket, according to multiple sources with intimate knowledge of the situation, who spoke on condition of anonymity, citing the sensitivity of the investigation. The list of names included Alabama Rep. Mo Brooks, South Carolina Rep. Jeff Duncan and Arizona Rep. Trent Franks, TheDC has confirmed. Fox News reported after this story that Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, Tennessee Rep. Scott DesJarlais and Virginia Rep. Morgan Griffith are also on the list. All six congressmen are members of the House Freedom Caucus, which contains the lower chamber’s most conservative members.
The FBI has contacted the congressmen to inform them of their inclusion on the list. Rep. Franks confirmed to Fox News that law enforcement officials have told him he is on the list.

‘For those still wondering, he didn’t hate baseball or beautiful summer mornings in June,’ White House counselor Kellyanne Conway said in reference to this article. ‘He hated Republicans.’

The FBI’s Washington field office, which is handling the investigation, provided no comment, citing the ongoing investigation.

Both Duncan and Brooks attended Wednesday’s baseball practice.
Duncan said he spoke with Hodgkinson briefly before the shooting, when the would-be assassin asked him in the parking lot if the players on the field were Republicans or Democrats. Duncan said he answered that the players were Republicans, before leaving the field. Brooks was still present on the field when Hodgkinson began shooting with a rifle, wounding four people including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise. The gunman died after being shot by a member of Scalise’s security detail.
The FBI also recovered a cell phone, a computer and a camera in the shooter’s van and is processing the items, according to a statement the agency issued on Thursday.

Members of the House of Representatives are officially calling for an investigation to be placed on former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and her interference into the investigation in Clinton’s email scandal from 2016. Specifically, her involvement when she spoke with President Clinton on an airplane tarmac in Phoenix, Arizona.

There is certainly a parallel with the three investigations into the Presidents ties to Russian government officials and their influence in their 2016 presidential election. Except both the House of Representatives, Senate, and Federal Bureau of Investigation are all investigating the Presidents ties to Russia while nobody is investigating Loretta Lynch and her alleged misconduct.

The issue came back to the media headlines after former FBI Director James Comey testified before the Senate and House of Representatives and indicated that Loretta Lynch had asked him to refer to the Clinton investigation as a matter and not an investigation. Something which was not previously made or known as public information. The former FBI Director said the following while testifying before the Senate,

“The attorney general had directed me not to call it an investigation, but instead to call it a matter, which confused me and concerned me. That was one of the bricks in the load that led me to conclude, ‘I have to step away from the department if we’re to close this case credibly.’ The Clinton campaign, at the time, was using all kind of euphemisms — security review, matters, things like that, for what was going on

We were getting to a place where the attorney general and I were both going to have to testify and talk publicly about. And I wanted to know, was she going to authorize us to confirm we had an investigation? And she said, ‘Yes, but don’t call it that, call it a matter.’ And I said, ‘Why would I do that?’ And she said, ‘Just call it a matter.’ That was the thing that capped it for me, that I had to do something separately to protect the credibility of the investigation, which meant both the F.B.I. and the Justice Department.”

President Trump has been working hard ever since his first day in the Oval Office. His world has gone from being about business deals and grandkids to revolving around world policy and treating all of America like a family he has to protect. To say that he’s been busy would be the understatement of the century. He and the first lady have been mostly apart for the last few months as she kept their New York residence with their son, Barron so that he could finish the school year where he started it.

That has changed now though as Melania and their son have officially moved into the White House and the family is slated to be there together until the end of his tenure as President (so hopefully for the next 7 1/2 years). This came right around the President’s first birthday while in office, and both events are a time for celebration. Also, with Father’s day coming up, the family has quite a lot to celebrate.

He’s headed to the Presidential retreat at Camp David. This will be his first visit to the retreat since taking office, though it’s not likely to be his last.

“Your character on ‘Black-ish,’ Bow, is an inspiration for folks all across this country,” the former first lady said.

I guess Michelle Obama missed the fact that people in America find military heroes more inspiring than a sitcom character, but what do I know, right? These women both have shown how little they care about the American people for years. Hillary Clinton has put America’s national security at risk and Michelle Obama has been as equally bad.

Sixteen years ago the United States vowed vengeance for our brothers and sisters who died in the most horrific terrorist attacks to ever happen on American soil. This past week The Great State of Texas, led by Republican Governor Greg Abbott passed a law where it makes Sharia illegal withing Texas state lines. Dan Flynn (R-TX) said, “My colleagues and I here at the Texas Legislature want to make sure Texas judges never apply foreign law in Texas courts in violation of constitutional rights and the public policy of our state.”

It’s been a month or so since Turkish government officials attacked peaceful protestors near their embassy in Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan police in D.C. have now issued arrest warrants for approximately twelve of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s security detail. President Trump has signed off on these arrests and he isn’t playing around. Rumors indicate that Erdogan gave his guards permission to rough up those who were protesting.

Metro police chief Peter Newsham gave the media the twelve names of those Turkish citizens involved in the attack. Four private individuals were allegedly part of the attack as well. The incident occurred back in mid-May and nine protestors were injured. Of those involved nine are Turkish security guards, three are Turkish national police, two are Canadian citizens, and two are Turkish Americans.

Newsham said,

“If they attempt to enter the United States, they will be arrested.”

He also said,

“If you are a law-abiding person and you feel like you did not do anything wrong, then please present yourself here to answer to these charges. We’d like to hear what you have to say. That remains to be seen.”

Audios that were found to have videotaped the events that occurred that day show one of the security guards attacking private citizens and saying to one of his comrades,
“Servet, he says attack” or “Servet, he says dive in.”

In a press conference, the police chief noted there was not enough evidence to charge Erdogan and that nobody from the Turkish embassy located there in Washington, D.C. were implicated or found to be responsible for the events that occurred that day. He said,
