In less than a fortnight, more than 80,000 people have signed a petition accusing billionaire investor George Soros of sedition against the US and demanding that he and his affiliates be declared “domestic terrorists” and that his assets be seized.
The petition was initially launched on August 20 by “E.B.” on the White House petitions website. If it reaches the threshold of 100,000 signatures before September 19, the White House will have to provide a formal response.
A huge asteroid is set to zip past Earth today, but don’t worry, this isn’t “Armageddon.”
The asteroid, named Florence, is an almost 3-mile-wide rock that passed about 4.4 million miles from Earth (7 million kilometers) early Friday, NASA says.
And while a few million miles sounds like a lot of room, it’s actually a pretty close pass when you’re talking about the vastness of space. Other asteroids have passed closer to Earth than Florence, but few have been this big.
We will have to keep an eye on an uptick of fireballs in the coming 48 hours or so. You can find more info at the link below.

Dr. Terry Gentry, an associate professor at Texas A&M University, examined small samples of both drinking water and floodwater from Cypress, Texas.
“We saw elevated levels of E. coli,” Gentry told ABC News. “This indicates the very likely presence of pathogenic bacteria viruses and other organisms that could cause disease in some individuals.”
A day after President Donald Trump finally broke his silence on North Korea after the isolated nation twice provoked its geopolitical adversaries in the span of just four days, Yonhap is reporting that the US sent four F-35B stealth jets and two nuclear-capable B-1B strategic bombers to train with South Korea’s F-15K fighter jets over the Korean Peninsula on Thursday in what it described as an “unprecedented” escalation of the allies’ military response to N.Korea’s provocations.
Thursday’s air-to-ground precision-strike drills were conducted a mock bombing drill, which simulated a surgical strike of key enemy facilities, over the Pilsung Range in the eastern province of Gangwon.
The “unprecedented” combined maneuver involved the F-35Bs from Japan and the long-range bombers based in Guam as well as a squadron of four F-15Ks, Yonhap said.
They used MK-84, MK-82 and GBU-32 bombs, according to Yonhap. In a statement, US Pacific Command said the flyover was a “direct response to North Korea’s intermediate range ballistic missile launch.” “North Korea’s actions are a threat to our allies, partners and homeland, and their destabilizing actions will be met accordingly,” said Gen. Terrence O’Shaughnessy, commander of Pacific Air Forces.

This documentary examines Phil’s claims to have knowledge of government and world secrets. Secrets that are kept that way, out of sight and out of sound Underground
A lawyer, as reported by the Washington Times, recently had his FOYA request denied, but can you guess the reason?
Hillary Clinton’s case isn’t interesting enough to the public to justify releasing the FBI’s files on her, the bureau said this week in rejecting an open-records request by a lawyer seeking to have the former secretary of state punished for perjury.
A pair of 70-year-old reservoir dams that protect downtown Houston from flooding began overflowing Tuesday, adding to the rising floodwaters from Harvey that have crippled the city after five consecutive days of rain.
Engineers began releasing water from the Addicks and Barker reservoirs Monday to ease the strain on the dams. But the releases were not enough to relieve the pressure after one of the heaviest downpours in U.S. history, Army Corps of Engineers officials said. Both reservoirs are at record highs.
