Tech giant Google has confirmed that it’s been collecting location data from Android phones, even when users have disabled location services and removed the SIM card.
The practice was discovered by the news website ‘Quartz’.
The corporation insists it neither stored nor used the information but has agreed to stop the practice.

French students and police squared off in Paris on Wednesday, as the students protested university reform.
The police deployed tear gas to disperse the crowd, who shouted slogans and hurled eggs at the officers.
