DHS Refutes NBC Report That Claimed Russia Hacked Elections

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said a recent report by NBC News was misleading. The channel claimed Russia “successfully penetrated” the voting systems of several states.
“Recent NBC reporting has misrepresented facts and confused the public with regard to Department of Homeland Security and state and local government efforts to combat election hacking,” DHS cybersecurity chief Jeanette Manfra said on Monday.

A HALF MONTH LEFT UNTIL THE END OF FEBRUARY
Since February 1, SouthFront has collected 877 USD. This is about 17% of the minimal budget [5,000 USD] needed to continue the project.
SouthFront operates only on the audience’s donations.

Woman Dragged Out of Hearing for Calling Out Big Energy Donations

A candidate for the West Virginia House of Delegates was dragged out of a hearing after listing the donations received by state lawmakers from fossil fuel companies. She was testifying on a bill on oil and gas drilling rules.
Lissa Lucas was criticizing a proposed bill, HB 4268, which would allow oil and gas companies to drill on private land with the consent of just 75 percent of the landowners. Energy companies are currently required to have 100 percent approval from landowners before they can extract gas and minerals from land.

President of Sprott US Holdings tells Silver Doctors why he’s bearish on bonds and bullish on precious metals.

With the recent rise in the US 10-year Treasury yield, Rick Rule says the bond bull market could be at its end. A reversal in the bond market could be bad for most markets, including equities and real estate.

“For 40 years,” Rule explains, “the most important determinant in precious metals’ prices has been the strength – or at least the perception or strength – in the US Dollar, particularly the US Dollar as expressed by the interest rate on the US 10-year Treasury.” In other words, if the bond bull market is over, then the precious metal bull run is just beginning.

This year, Rule says he is more bullish on mining stocks than the physical metal.
