Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Ben Carson says a special counsel Robert Mueller should be given a “chance” to conduct a fair investigation into possible ties between Trump and Russia.

“I would give him the chance to see if he could do that because if there’s nothing there – he’s not gonna find anything anyway,” Carson told Fox News Radio.
“That has been the case now for nearly a year – there’s nothing to find, that’s why they keep going down these empty rabbit holes. That will continue to be the case because there’s nothing there,” Carson added.

Carson said that the investigation is “frustrating” and that it is hurting Trump’s productivity. “It’s frustrating because it keeps us from getting to the things that need to be done, and I’m not sure that that isn’t the real reason for it,” he said.
