Facebook has suspended 30,000 French accounts that were supportive of Presidential candidate Marine Le Pen on Friday. 

Facebook Inc announced its intentions to suspend the accounts on Thursday, claiming the move was part of an effort to stop the spread of fake news ahead of the French elections.

However, critics argue that the suspension, just ten days before the hotly contested election, is designed to censor Marine Le Pen as her popularity continues to soar.

Facebook has come under extreme pressure from Germany and France recently as European leaders have suggested new laws and fines unless the social media giant quickly removes content they deem “alternative.”

Facebook has already rolled out a program in France to use third-party fact-checkers to combat so-called fake news in users’ feeds…

Facebook has successfully disrupted a major spam operation the company says it has been combating for six months as part of a wider operation to rid the social media platform of hoaxes, misinformation and fake news.

The announcement, delivered Friday, comes one day after Facebook disclosed a crackdown on an estimated 67.7 to 137.8 million fake or duplicate accounts on the platform.

Facebook joins $14mn fund to fight fake news — RT Business

Social media giant Facebook has teamed up with other tech corporations aiming to launch a $14 million fund to end news illiteracy and improve public understanding of journalism.

The offending fake accounts hailed from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and a host of other countries, Facebook’s Technical Program Manager, Shabnam Shaik, said in a blog post.

Those responsible used “sophisticated means that try to mask the fact that the accounts are part of the same coordinated operation,” in a bid to “deceptively gain new friend connections by liking and interacting primarily with popular publisher Pages” after which they would send spam.

Spammers used tricks to avoid being detected including “redirecting their traffic through ‘proxies’ that disguised their location.”

In a fairly related story – Famed Psychic Sean David Morton and his wife Melissa – who worked with the local FBI to attempt to start a – shall we say – world ending conflict – was arrested 1 February 2016  last year and finally sentenced to 650 years in prison for Tax Evasion two days ago.

The IRS is claiming he filed a Bogus Tax Return and collected a refund of $480,323. When the IRS wanted the money back he and Melissa  refused to return it and had apparently hidden it from the IRS.

Apparently it has taken 10 years to take these folks down – along with their FBI Co-Conspirators from Foster City, California.

Russia Bans United Airlines Flight From Airspace After “Not From Earth” Virus Detected

A frightening and bizarre Ministry of Defense (MoD) report circulating in the Kremlin today states that less than 48 hours ago, a United Airlines flight enroute to Shanghai (China) from San Francisco (USA) was issued a “shoot-down order” by Aerospace Forces (AF) should it near the Federation’s airspace border due to a “spectral signature” showing that this aircraft had aboard it a virus not contained in any Earth database—with Western news media sources only reporting that it was banned from nearing Russia due to “diplomatic reasons”.  [Note: Some words and/or phrases appearing in quotes in this report are English language approximations of Russian words/phrases having no exact counterpart.]

According to this report, United Airlines Flight 857 is a regularly scheduled route between San Francisco and Shanghai and has always been allowed to utilize Federation airspace that enables this aircraft to make this journey in 13 hours—instead of a flight time in excess of 17 hours should it have to refuel in Japan.

On 12 April, this report continues, Aerospace Defence Forces (ADF) experts interpreting analysis from their secretive “Angel Halo” satellite (designated in West as Object 2014-28E) were alerted to United Airlines Flight 857 after a “spectral signature” revealed that this aircraft was “infected/enhanced” by a mysterious “not from Earth” virus species not contained in any database.

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach has successfully obtained his first conviction of a person who committed voter fraud on behalf of Hillary Clinton.

Kobach, who previously advised President Trump on the widespread voter fraud problem during 2016 race, says that Victor David Garcia Bebek has pleaded guilty for voting for Clinton despite not being a U.S. citizen.

Crude oil could begin flowing through the controversial Dakota Access Pipeline next month, according to a filing pending with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

On Thursday, Energy Transfer Crude Oil Company, LLC filed an oil tariff, which specifies details about the Dakota Access Pipeline. The company’s plan is to start interstate crude oil delivery on May 14, providing oil transportation from Patoka, Illinois, to Nederland, Texas.

Last year, protests erupted after Dallas-based Energy Transfer Partners began construction on the final segment of the $3.8 billion, 1,172-mile pipeline. The final segment required the company to lay piping under Lake Oahe, the main water source for the Standing Rock Sioux and Cheyenne River Tribes.

The two tribes filed multiple lawsuits against Energy Transfer Partners to stop construction of the pipeline, arguing the land belonged to them and that the pipeline would desecrate sacred burial grounds around Lake Oahe. Many also argued that an oil spill would poison the tribe’s primary water supply.

At its peak, thousands of protesters, known as “water protectors,” set up a camp outside the construction site. Protesters lived at the camp site for months where hundreds were arrested. Other protests also erupted across the nation, from Washington, DC to Los Angeles…

To hide the presence of such malware, WikiLeaks notes that the public HTTPS interface (a protocol for secure communication over a computer network within an encrypted connection) “utilizes unsuspicious-looking cover domains,” meaning those targeted would be unaware of the CIA’s interference.

WikiLeaks notes anti-virus companies and forensic experts have noticed “possible state-actor” malware using similar back-end infrastructure, but were unable to connect the back-end to CIA operations.

Panic Begins to Grip the Market; Tech Stocks Experience Longest Losing Streak in 5 Years

S&P 500 tech stocks have now fallen for 9 days in a row.  The last time tech stocks declined for so many days in a row was in 2012, and that was the only other time in history when we have seen such a long losing streak.  As I have stated before, the post-election “Trump rally” is officially done, and the market is starting to roll over as investors begin to realize that all of the buying momentum has completely evaporated.  Tech stocks tend to be particularly volatile, and so the fact that they are starting to lead the way down should definitely be alarming to many in the investing community.

Of course it isn’t just tech stocks that are falling.  The Dow was down another 59 points on Wednesday, and the S&P 500 has closed beneath its 50 day moving average for the very first time since the election.  For those that have been waiting for a key technical signal before getting out of the market, there is one for you.

The price of gold was up again, and that is definitely not surprising in this geopolitical environment.  The closer we get to war the higher gold and silver prices will go, and if we actually get into a major conflict we will see them blast into the stratosphere.

Another key indicator that I am watching very closely is the VIX.  On Wednesday it shot up above 16 for the very first time since the day after Trump’s election victory, and many believe that it could soon go much higher.  The following is an excerpt from a CNBC report…
