With one week to go until the runoff round in the French presidential elections, Marine Le Pen – materially lagging her rival Macron according to daily polls – on Saturday chose defeated first-round candidate Nicolas Dupont-Aignan as her prime minister, in a last-minute attempt to court his voters and help her defeat her opponent.
“As President of the Republic I will name Nicolas Dupont-Aignan Prime Minister, supported by a presidential majority and united by the national interest,” she told a news conference in Paris at which the two politicians sat together.
“We will form a government of national unity that brings together people chosen for their competence and their love of France,” Le Pen told a Paris news conference, sitting side-by-side with her choice for premier.
According to Reuters, Dupont-Aignan is a nationalist whose protectionist economic policies are close to those of the National Front’s Le Pen and who, like her, is urging a reduction in the powers of EU institutions. In the first round, Dupont-Aignan received 4.7%, or roughly 1.7 million votes, and on Friday announced that he was backing Le Pen for the decisive May 7 second round.
Macron quickly denounced the alliance of Marine Le Pen with Dupont-Aignan a “trick,” to boost Le Pen’s credibility and address Dupont-Aignan’s financing issues, according to Agence France-Presse. The alliance “seems to be a party trick destined to address Marine Le Pen’s credibility issues, as she has no team around her, and Mr. Dupont-Aignan’s financing issues. It’s no more than that and it’s not serious.”…

Both discoveries are potential evidence of life, “said the NASA spokesman, who also highlighted the advances made in astrobiology.
“And while we have not yet found definitive signs of life elsewhere, our search is making remarkable progress,” said Zurbuchen, who noted that NASA’s number of astrobiology missions is on the rise.
“Mars 2020, our next explorer, and will continue to advance this quest by researching a region on Mars where the ancient environment may have been favorable for microbial life. The mission will also look for signs of past life and collect samples that will be brought back to Earth, “said professor Zurbuchen.
Zurbuchen also pointed out that to prove the existence of extraterrestrial life requires the cooperation of several scientific disciplines as a whole, such as biology, geology, astronomy, planetary sciences, Earth sciences and many others.

On March 23, 2017, Wikileaks dropped information on a system called, “Dark Matter,” a program that proves they are implanting technology in iPhones during their creation. A few days later, on March 31, 2017, Wikileaks dropped another log on the CIA’s fire called, “Marble Framework,” a 676 source code file that hampers forensic investigators and anti-virus companies from attributing viruses, trojan and hack attacks to the CIA. In other words, no one can attribute a crime to the CIA because this program allows them to “cover their tracks.”
Then on April 7, 2017, Julian Assange released files on “Grasshopper framework” a platform used to build customized malware payloads for Microsoft Windows operating systems. Grasshopper allows tools to be installed on computers and prevents “Security” loops from detecting them, Security looks like Kaspersky. Wikileaks states that these are insights into the process of building modern espionage tools and insights into how the CIA maintains persistence over infected Microsoft windows computers, providing directions for those seeking to defend their systems identify any existing compromise.
On April 14th, 2017 Wikileaks published six documents from the CIA”s “Hive” project. Hive is a back-end infrastructure malware with public facing HTTPS interface which is used by CIA implants to transfer exfiltrated information from targeted machines to the CIA and to receive commands from its operators to execute specific tasks on the targets. In other words, the CIA can “Hack” information they need from your computer to theirs, and send certain “tasks” for your computer to carry out. Additionally, these commands were unable to be traced back to the CIA.
On April 21st, 2017 “Weeping Angel” was published. This is an implant designed for the Samsung F. Series Smart TV’s that records audio from the built-in microphone and egress or store the data. In other words, your TV’s can and will record what you say and share it with the CIA.
The latest release was April 28th, 2017, Wikileaks publishes the documentation and source code for project “Scribbles.” A document watermarking pre-processing system that embeds a tracking bug into documents that are likely to be copied by insiders, whistleblowers, journalists or others.

Back in the summer of 2016, as Obamacare rates were being set for the 2017 plan year, we repeatedly argued that the entire system was on the “verge of collapse” as premiums were soaring, risk pools were deteriorating and insurers were pulling out of exchanges all around the country leaving many Americans with just a single ‘option’ for health insurance (see “Obamacare On “Verge Of Collapse” As Premiums Set To Soar Again In 2017“).
And while Democrats may be all too willing to quickly dismiss our analysis, just a few weeks ago we suggested that they should at least listen to the warnings of the CEO of one of the country’s largest health insurers who said that Obamacare is in a “death spiral.” In speaking with the Wall Street Journal, Aetna CEO Mark Bertolini said, among other things, that the “risk pools are deteriorating in the ACA” to a point that it would inevitably result in more withdrawals this year. Per The Hill:
“It’s not going to get any better; it’s getting worse.”
“That logic shows just how much the risk pools are deteriorating in the ACA,” Bertolini said.
He added: “I think you will see a lot more withdrawals this year. … There isn’t enough money in the ACA as structured, even with the fees and taxes, to support the population that needs to be served.”
“It is in a death spiral,” he said, but did not say whether Aetna would participate in the exchanges in 2018.

Underground reserves of brackish water may soon help relieve freshwater woes across the nation according to a recent report by the U. S. Geological Survery (USGS). The study by the USGS offers an in-depth analysis of the use of brackish groundwater as an “unconventional water source” that could relieve pressure on underground freshwater aquifers that are rapidly being depleted, especially as demands for water are increasing.

It is more obvious every day that with the accession of Donald Trump to the presidency of the United States—I refuse to use the word “election,” because I am convinced that Trump was designated for this position by the “deep state” and the controlled media—a major world disaster is not only likely but probably inevitable.
Before proceeding, I would like to say something about my own background. I spent 32 years as an analyst with the civilian side of the U.S. federal government. NASA’s Cassini spacecraft has re-established contact with Earth, sending back extraordinary new photographs as it ventures where no spaceship has travelled before – between Saturn and its rings.
The gap between the rings and the top of Saturn’s atmosphere is about 2,400km (1,500 miles) wide.Cassini passed through the gap at speeds of about 123,000kph (77,000mph) on Wednesday as part of the craft’s final exploratory mission dubbed the ‘Grand finale.’
The craft used its dish-shaped antenna as a shield against oncoming particles while it travelled through the region as scientists feared that even small particles could have disabled the spacecraft. Using the dish in this way forced Cassini to lose contact with Earth.
The ship was programmed to collect data while close to the planet and then turn back towards Earth to re-establish contact. It successfully completed the maneuver on Thursday, about 20 hours after the crossing.
Amongst the data freshly beamed back to Earth are stunning new photographs of a giant hurricane on Saturn and the closest-ever photos of the planet’s atmosphere.
NASA released the photos on Thursday. It’s hoped that the data will help scientists calculate the mass of the planet’s rings.
“In the grandest tradition of exploration, NASA’s Cassini spacecraft has once again blazed a trail, showing us new wonders and demonstrating where our curiosity can take us if we dare,” Jim Green, director of the Planetary Science Division at NASA, said.
The $3.2 billion Cassini mission was launched in 1997 and is a joint venture between NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Italian space agency (ASI). It has been orbiting Saturn since 2004 and has captured thousands of incredible images of the ringed planet and nearby moons.
As part of the ‘Grand finale,’ Cassini will make 22 orbits that will bring it increasingly closer to the surface of Saturn before it intentionally plunges into the planet’s gaseous atmosphere this September.
The ‘Grand finale’ will “satisfy planetary protection requirements” and leave no contamination to other planets, according to the ESA. The next dive through the gap is scheduled for May 2.

Today, all those warnings came true, when the stock of Home Capital Group cratered by over 60%, its biggest drop on record, after the company disclosed that it struck an emergency liquidity arrangement for a C$2 billion ($1.5 billion) credit line to counter evaporating deposits at terms that will leave the alternative mortgage lender unable to meet financial targets, and worse, may leave it insolvent in very short notice.
As part of this inevitable outcome, one which presages the company’s eventual disintegration and likely liquidation, Bloomberg reports that the non-binding rescue loan with an unnamed counterparty will be secured by a portfolio of mortgage loans originated by Home Trust, the Toronto-based firm said in a statement Wednesday. Home Capital shares dropped by 61% in Toronto to the lowest since 2003, dragging down other home lenders. Equitable Group Inc. fell 17 percent, Street Capital Group Inc. fell 13 percent, while First National Financial Corp. declined 7.6 percent. In short, the Canadian mortgage bubble has finally burst.
Some more details on HCG’s emergency source of funding: Home Capital will pay 10% interest on outstanding balances and a non-refundable commitment fee of C$100 million, while standby fee on undrawn funds is 2.5%. The initial draw must be C$1 billion. The loan has an effective – and very much distressed – interest rate of 22.5% on the first C$1 billion, declining to 15% if fully utilized, according to a note from Jaeme Gloyn, an analyst at National Bank of Canada…
