WIKILEAKS’ ‘DARK MATTER’ DUMP SHOWS CIA’S IPHONE, MACBOOK HACKS

CIA documents published by WikiLeaks Thursday reveal hacks used by the agency against Apple cellphones and computers.

Dubbed “Dark Matter,” the documents, a new addition to WikiLeaks’ ongoing “Vault 7” dump, detail hacks developed for iPhones and MacBooks as far back as 2008.

“These documents explain the techniques used by CIA to gain ‘persistence’ on Apple Mac devices, including Macs and iPhones and demonstrate their use of EFI/UEFI and firmware malware,” a WikiLeaks press release says.

By targeting the firmware, CIA hackers can remain in control of an infected device even if the target wipes the data and re-installs the operating system.


One such tool, known as “Sonic Screwdriver,” is, according to the CIA, a “mechanism for executing code on peripheral devices while a Mac laptop or desktop is booting…”

By providing a target with a compromised peripheral device such as an Apple Thunderbolt-to-Ethernet adapter, which stores “Sonic Screwdriver” in its firmware, the CIA can gain persistence “even when a firmware password is enabled” on the target computer.

A 2008 document discussing an attack on iPhones, called “NightSkies,” reveals a malicious implant that would be physically installed on a new device. One method of deploying the hack could potentially involve intercepting an iPhone before it reaches a target.

“The tool operates in the background providing upload, download and execution capability on the device,” the document states. “NS is installed via physical access to the device and will wait for user activity before beaconing.”…

Docs Disprove Media’s Russian/Assange Claims Against Stone

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Roger Stone is under attack by the Democrats in Congress for a tweet he posted on Aug. 21, 2016, in which Stone said, “Trust me, it will soon the [be] Podesta’s time in the barrel.”

Democrats have mistakenly used this email to “prove” Stone had advance knowledge Julian Assange of Wikileaks was about to release emails hacked from John Podesta, then the chairman of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.

Having reviewed my records, I am now confident that I am the source behind Stone’s tweet.

Here is the timeline showing how I got Roger Stone on the track of following the real story – that Podesta played a key role in the Clintons’ plan to get paid by Putin.

On July 31, 2016, the New York Post reported that Peter Schweizer’s Washington-based Government Accountability Institute had published a report entitled, “From Russia with Money: Hillary Clinton, the Russian Reset, and Cronyism.”

That report detailed cash payments from Russia to the Clintons via the Clinton Foundation which included a Putin-connected Russian government fund that transferred $35 million to a small company that included Podesta and several senior Russian officials on its executive board.

“Russian government officials and American corporations participated in the technology transfer project overseen by Hillary Clinton’s State Department that funneled tens of millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation,” the report noted in the executive summary.

“John Podesta failed to reveal, as required by law on his federal financial disclosures, his membership on the board of this offshore company,” the executive summary continued.  “Podesta also headed up a think tank which wrote favorably about the Russian reset while apparently receiving millions from Kremlin-linked Russian oligarchs via an offshore LLC.”

Reading Schweizer’s report, I began conducting extensive research into Secretary Clinton’s “reset” policy with Russia, Podesta’s membership on the board of Joule Global Holdings, N.V. – a shell company in the Netherlands that Russians close to Putin used to launder money – as well as Podesta’s ties to a foundation run by one of the investors in Joule Energy, Hans-Jorg Wyss, a major contributor to the Clinton Foundation…

APPLE PAID NO TAX IN NEW ZEALAND OVER PAST DECADE – REPORT

An investigation by the New Zealand Herald newspaper found electronics giant Apple has sold $2.96 billion (NZ$4.2 billion) worth of products since 2007 in the country but has not paid any local tax.

Company tax of $26 million had been reportedly paid to the Australian tax office as the two countries have a treaty where tax is only paid in one jurisdiction.

According to the newspaper, if Apple had “reported the same healthy profit margin in New Zealand as it did for its operations globally,” it would have paid $250.7 million in taxes.

Apple said the arrangement was legal, adding it is “the largest taxpayer in the world” which appreciates and respects the role “taxes play as necessary and important role in our society.”

“We follow the law and pay tax on everything we earn, wherever we operate. Apple aims to be a force for good, and we’re proud of the contributions we’ve made in New Zealand over the past decade,” the company said in a statement.

By all insider accounts, the GCHQ scandal was blown up by President Donald Trump for very good reasons.

In fact, the only realistic way for Trump to fulfill his campaign promise to “drain the swamp” — inside the Beltway — is to expose the shadow government that has run the United States of America for many decades.

Why did Trump really disclose the illegal wiretaps by Obama and the U.S. Intelligence Community?

London Shut Down Camera Network One Year Prior to Terrorist Attack » The Event Chronicle

In June of 2016, about three months after the Brussels bombings, the Westminster Council voted to scrap a camera network of over 75 different spots in central London area.

BBC reports that the reason cited for this was to save “£1.7m in upgrade costs.” Instead of using this money to upgrade the cameras, they thought they could instead spend that money on other crime-fighting measures.

This move was reportedly labeled a “huge, huge loss to police” by London police expert David Videcette. It also lessened the city’s ability to monitor the terrorist attack that occurred recently on March 22.

It is unclear whether or not the loss of cameras had an impact on the recent investigation of the events in London.

UK police expert David Videcette was considerably unhappy about the loss of these cameras, which his website says were recording 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and kept for up to 31 days.

He also reportedly told Sputnik that:

“When we talk about CCTV, we mean fixed point systems that cover geographic locations. The police have databases of what cameras are situated where, who they belong to and how the images can be obtained if an incident has taken place nearby. After a crime has taken place, particularly more serious crime and terrorism, officers will wander around looking for cameras that may be of use and obtain their images,”…

But wait a minute. More than 270,000 pedestrians are killed by vehicles each year, while well over a million are injured. That means almost a thousand are killed, and perhaps three or four thousand injured, every day.

Of the thousands and thousands of vehicular casualties that happen every day all over the world, a tiny fraction just occurred near the Parliament building in London. The logical inference: Somebody spent a rather small sum of money to arrange a publicity stunt which did not even make a faint blip on the day’s (much less the year’s) accident statistics — but which reaped hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars worth of virtually free publicity for the perpetrators.

Coded 4chan Post Hinted at Westminster Attack a Day in Advance | Galactic Connection

Details are still emerging about an attack carried out near the UK’s Houses of Parliament on Wednesday.

As officials try to determine the identity of a suspect who was shot by police, a 4chan thread from less than 24 hours earlier appears to announce the location of the attack that has claimed five lives so far.

Shortly after the attack, 4chan users began speculating about a post from yesterday that seemed to reveal the attacker’s plan, worrying that its existence would lead to the site being shut down.

The announcement, posted at approximately 3pm London time on Tuesday, appeared on the site’s politically incorrect (/pol/) imageboard from a user with the ID n1SoXPxb—the only post by that ID across any 4chan board. The user is flagged as Danish, though they could have easily used a VPN to obfuscate their location.

The user posted a string of Morse code dots and dashes which translate to “gotohttp://pastebin.com/zluxdmza.” That Pastebin page contains a simple binary code which, when deciphered, points to a GPS location near Big Ben, close to where the attacker reportedly crashed his vehicle on Wednesday.

Because the Pastebin page was created by a guest account, it could not have been changed after the fact. Additionally, /pol/ users responding at the time of the thread’s creation noted then that the code referred to England’s famous clocktower. That Pastebin file has been viewed nearly 4,000 times at the time of this writing.

The user attached a photo of two guns taken from an unrelated 2010 forum postwith the phrase “/pol/ 21-3-2017” crudely edited into the image. It’s currently unknown if the suspect had a firearm, but the post’s threatening intent is clear.

The attack itself is currently being treated as an act of terrorism, according toThe Guardian. Witnesses have described the assailant as an Asian man in his 40s.

Though currently archived, the original post still appears on /pol/. “I understand the situation,” current 4chan owner Hiroyuki Nishimura told Gizmodo, “We are ready to respond for law enforcement agency.”

Update 3/22/17 7:01pm EDT: Currently there are five reported deaths from the attack and 40 injuries, the New York Times reports.

CNN And MSNBC Caught Faking Live Interview With Same Guest

Fake News CNN and MSNBC were caught lying to their viewers again today as both networks claimed to be interviewing the same guest live at the same time. 

CNN and MSNBC can only deceive us so many times before we have to assume everything they say is lies.

But it’s not just those those two networks. Last year ABC News were caught staging a fake “crime scene” for reporter Linsey Davis to report from in a segment broadcast on Good Morning America.

Viewers were presented with the sight of Davis standing in front of yellow police tape with the words “SHERIFF’S LINE DO NOT CROSS” and ABC News, reporting from the site for hours, claimed Davis was in the middle of an active crime scene.

But she wasn’t. The ABC News report had more in common with a Hollywood production than a breaking news report.

Linsey Davis was actually standing in a field in Woodruffe, South Carolina – not at the crime scene she was claiming to be reporting from.

Sources with knowledge of the matter say the sheriff’s tape was placed there by the ABC News crew for the purpose of its inclusion in the live shot.

Fake sheriff’s tape, fake news. “This action is completely unacceptable and fails to meet the standards of ABC News,” said Julie Townsend, the vice president of communications at ABC News.

“As soon as it was brought to our attention, we decided to take the producer out of the field, and we’re investigating further.”..
