Growing exponentially and out of control Big Pharma has created an opioid painkiller addiction epidemic that’s causing more suffering and death than illegal street drugs.

In the USA the opioid painkiller prescription rate has increased by 300% over the last 10 years.  In Alabama State, for every 100 people, doctors hand out a staggering 123 opioid painkiller prescriptions. This is the highest rate in the USA. Americans are the highest opioid users making up 80% of the world’s total use.

Considering the potential for having serious side effects and their addictive nature this makes opioid painkillers the most dangerous drugs known. Around 70% of accidental deaths caused by prescription drugs have been attributed to painkillers:  Over the last 10 years, female overdose deaths through opioids have increased by 450%.

The U.S. Government is going to run a huge budget deficit going forward.  Tax receipts are falling in correlation with economic activity and less foreigners are interested in buying new Treasury debt issuance.   Last year, despite Obama’s claim that the U.S. budget deficit was only $400 billion, the U.S. Treasury had to issue over $1 trillion in new debt.  Obama lied his ass off.   This year the U.S. Treasury debt will go up even more than last year.  At some point the Fed will have to print money in order to fund new Treasury issuance.

Retired army major general Robert H. Scales: Russia has better weapons and better men to fight the ideological war than the US does.

Leonid Bershidsky of Bloomberg has lamented just a few days ago that Russia is actually winning the war in Syria by a landslide. “With Russian air support,” he said, “the regime forces [the Assad government] and their Iranian and Lebanese allies are pushing back and holding the siege, which cuts the rebels off from Turkey.”[1]

The growing fear about the global banking system has driven the 10-year USTreasury Bond yields to all-time record lows as a safe haven. Investors might perceive the powerful Western Economic recession, provided they are not of low intellect. The truly remarkable fact is that millions of investors believe the USTBond market is a safe haven. As such, I think it indicates that paradigm shifts are taking place and while it still appears as though major changes have not occurred, subtle transformations are happening.

This being said I do like to follow the simple adage of planning for the worst, hoping for the best, and expecting something in between.

A practical and balanced approach to the physical needs of life is part of our spiritual training in my view. As such, if you can prepare some basic material needs for yourself and loved ones it would a prudent step to take.

America’s financial system is broken for all but a few at the top — that much is plain. The rest sense that we are stuck on the minus end of some great financial formula, but given the complexity and size of Big Finance, it’s hard to pin down exactly why it happens and how it all adds up.

Enter economist Gerald Epstein of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He has dived in and crunched the numbers, and the results are eye-popping. Epstein and his colleague Juan Antonio Montecino look at exactly how families, taxpayers and businesses get ripped off by dubious financial activities and tally up the costs in a new paper for the Roosevelt Institute, “Overcharged: The High Cost of Finance.”(The Institute for New Economic Thinking has also supported several papers by Epstein).

CIA sources in East Asia alerted us to the fact the US Justice Department has indicted Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak for embezzling over $1 billion from a fund meant to be used for Malaysian economic development.

The indictment is calling for the seizure of all the profits from the Hollywood hit movie The Wolf of Wall Street, because it was financed with embezzled funds. The indictment also mentions Saudi Arabian royals, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Bank Privee Edmond de Rothschild.
