President Trump Raises the Stakes With China Will President Xi Jinping Fold or Call to See if it’s a Bluff

Has President Trump turned on the very values that got him elected to office by caving to the establishment and becoming part of the swamp that he promised to drain? The attack on Syria was orchestrated during the talks to act as a surprise show of force with an attempt to intimidate China over the North Korean and China Sea area militarization issues. How China reads and reacts to the strike on Syria remain to be seen. China could double down and become more forceful by standing up to President Trump on North Korea and the islands militarization. President Xi just departed from the two day meeting with President Trump without having a press conference. We will have to wait to get his views on how the meeting went.

According to US Secretary of State Tillerson stated, “President Trump indicated to President Xi …we would be happy to work with them, but we understand it creates unique problems for them and challenges and that we would and are prepared to chart our own course if this is something China is just unable to coordinate with us,” after their meeting.

The Russian Kremlin stated on April 7th, “The President of Russia regards the US airstrikes on Syria as an act of aggression against a sovereign state delivered in violation of international law under a far-fetched pretext…”  also President Putin had conducted a telephone call with Prime Minister Netanyahu on April 6th, “…exchanged views on the incident involving chemical weapons on April 4 in the Syrian province of Idlib. Mr Putin underscored, in particular, that it is unacceptable to make groundless accusations against any party until a thorough and objective international investigation has been conducted…”

Further the Russian Foreign Ministry released a  Statement on 7 April stating, “However, we will never agree to unsanctioned action against the legitimate Syrian government that has been waging an uncompromising war on international terrorism for a long time…Russia suspends the Memorandum of Understanding on Prevention of Flight Safety Incidents in the course of operations in Syria signed with the US…”

The Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying stated during her press conference on April 7th and when asked about the building on artificial islands, “The deployment of necessary national defense facilities is for the aim of safeguarding China’s own territory…” On Syria she stated, “The Chinese side upholds the principle of non-interference in others’ domestic affairs. We believe that the future of Syria should be left in the hands of the Syrian people themselves… We respect the Syrian people’s choice of their own leaders and development path…”

President Donald Trump welcomed Chinese President Xi Jinping to his Florida home for a two-day summit, where the leaders will have a series of discussions on North Korea, trade policies and more.

In their first face-to-face meeting, Xi and Trump met at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s estate in Palm Beach, on Thursday. Trump had told reporters on Air Force One that he would be focusing their talks on North Korea and trade.

Trump repeated that he would be willing to act unilaterally to rein in North Korea, but said that he thinks “China will want to be stepping up” to help the US, according to the White House.

A week ahead of the meeting, Trump tweeted that the subject of trade with China would make for a “very difficult” meeting because of the “massive trade deficits.”…

The mainstream media has a new in vogue phrase and you are sure to have heard it by now – ‘the rules based international order (or system)’. The Royal Institute of International Affairs based in London, commonly known as Chatham House commented a several years ago that “Economic and political upheavals are emboldening challengers to the rules-based international system, and to the liberal Western values it embodies. To stay relevant, the system must address three major flaws.”

  1. For a system based on rules to have effect, these rules must be visibly observed by their principal and most powerful advocates.
  3. A rules-based order must work to the advantage of the majority and not a minority.
  5. The longevity of the current international system may have led to the assumption that it was in some way the natural order of things, requiring only occasional repair and defence against particular challengers.

Given recent global events it is clear that the so-called rules based order has systemically failed to address any of these flaws. The most powerful advocates and the institutions that support this system have made the most disastrous decisions culminating in an epic financial crisis with austerity its ideological birth. The West flounders from one crisis to the next, the majority disciplined for the malfeasance and lawlessness of the few and the system is consuming itself from the inside out – a neoliberal bowel cancer with no cure in sight…

An alarming Ministry of Healthcare (MoH) report circulating in the Kremlin this afternoon is warning that the outbreak of at least two virulent strains of rapidly mutating bird flu viruses currently sweeping the world can now be classified as a global catastrophe after India announced today (with bio-attack fears raised) that it was killing over 200,000 (2 lakh) of its domestic poultry stock and Britain, likewise today, ordering the killing of over 55,000 waterfowl (ducks)—and that brings the past few weeks global death toll of domesticated poultry stocks to over 900 million.  [Note: Some words and/or phrases appearing in quotes in this report are English language approximations of Russian words/phrases having no exact counterpart.]

According to this report, less than a month ago (19 February), the MoH released a “red alert/warning” bulletin notifying the Security Council (SC) of the “mysterious” genetic blending of at least three H5 subtypes of the avian flu virus (H7N9, H5N8 and H5N6) first reported by China in 2013—and that the Chinese called a biological attack upon their nation perpetrated by the United States—and that prompted Bill Gates (the richest man in the world), also last month, to cryptically warn world leaders that over 30 million human beings around the world would soon die from an “unspecified/not known” pandemic.

The bank’s executives, who knew full well what the bank was doing, were given deferred prosecution agreements, so long as the bank, going forward, would reform its business practices and comply with the law.

“HSBC admitted to violating U.S. sanctions laws and failing to stop Mexican and Colombian cartels from laundering hundreds of millions of dollars in drug proceeds through the bank,” but now is fighting to keep the contents of the compliance report a secret. And the bank is getting help from what should be considered the most unlikely of sources, the Department of Justice. Yes. That’s right. The same justice department which prosecuted HSBC and won, is now seeking to keep the progress, or lack thereof, in complying with the law, a secret…

The Petro-Yuan is essentially here in its infancy, in rudimentary form. the leap to the Gold Trade Note will be easy, once the pieces are aligned and in place. This new note for usage in secure trade settlement is in the inception process. It will be structured within existing trading vehicles and platforms. Soon the Chinese can better organize their oil purchases from other nations. The vendors can turn around and do the same, convert the RMB into gold in Shanghai. The Petro-Dollar has been effectively replaced with the mechanisms of a Petro-Yuan erected on the Gold table. The Chinese are putting in place a link between oil and gold, once again like before the Bretton Woods Gold Standard was violated by Nixon in 1971.
